I am not sure how this works on coarse hair but it works well for me to use on my legs that have fine hair. I use this once a day and dispose of one every 2 weeks--so the value is worth it for me!

I like that the are around the blade is plastic and very smooth because I find that with more expensive razor blades, the "moisturising" strips tend to dry out and the blade area is not as smooth.
