Amazing stuff! I've suffered bumps on the backs of my arms since childhood, a harmless but persistent condition known as "keratosis pilaris," where the skin pores inexplicably clog with keratin. Dermatologists recommend exfoliation and moisturizing to help keep w/ the condition but there's no known cure... I've been using shower buff puffs and & slathering on Retinol-based lotions for years to keep it under control but it never totally went away till I tried Bio Oil.
As an experiment, I used Bio Oil on one arm & a cheaper, soy-based "soothing" oil on the other. Within two weeks, I noticed patches on my Bio Oil arm where there were no bumps. By the end of the month, my Bio Oil arm was totally bump-free! Now I use it on both arms, and for the first time in my life I don't have any annoying "skin texture" bumming me out.
Yay Bio Oil!! I also have very dry skin on my shins, if you look close the skin looks cracked & flaky all winter but not now! Bio Oil keeps my legs smooth & soft. Not oily at all, for an oil that's surprising. I love, love this stuff.

I have been using Bio-oil for over a month. It is reducing the brown spots on my hands and appears to be reducing the appearance of a very old scar on my arm. I'm not expecting a miracle on the scar as I have used many scar products with little or no effect on it. At first it feels greasy, but the skin quickly absorbs the oil. It leaves a soft, silky feeling on the skin. The price is good. Similar products would be two to three times the cost of Bio Oil.
ive tried this product out of pure desperation & concern about my scars on my armpits, & "down there" from shaving .. after using this product on my face as well i seen very good results as for the other places its taking a while but thats expected for [$] very happy with this product though.
I recently gained and lost weight (I graduated from college). I have only used this product for my red stretch marks (that will not go away) from my weight gain. I thought that they would go away as I lost weight, but they didn't. So, I purchased bio-oil for those stretch marks. It actually has worked to heal them, and they are now less pronounced. I am 23, so my skin does heal a lot faster than someone who may be a little older. The only downside is that this product is very greasy, but I do kind of like the smell.
Honestly so dissapointed in this product. I have a little bit of stretch marks on my knees. I'm only 104 pounds so I was really surprised to find stretch marks on me. I did my usual googling and found so many reviews about this product and how bio oil instantly worked, so I decided to head straight to the store. Its been about two months now and I see no changes. I use it two times a day. Morning and night... and it is honestly a waste of money. I noticed that my stretch marks expanded after this product so I recently just stopped, and switched to mederma. Don't buy into this. It's a waste. Try something else.
I understand what the bio oil is supposed to help. I got it to help with scars and dry skin. It was so oily it didn't absorb into my skin. It absorbed into my housecoat, sheets and anything else my legs touched. It was hard to wash off my hands after applying the oil. Descent smell.
Works just as advertised! I put it on before bed after cleaning my skin and I woke up with different skin! I had deep acne scars on my face and back. I've been trying for close to a decade to get rid of them, all I've done is add to them because I have such fragile skin it scars really easily. I noticed a reduction in their appearance after just one use overnight. A week of use, they're no longer deep and my skin tone has really evened out. Since it worked so great with my scars I started using it on my stretch marks on my breasts and after the 3rd night they have begun to lighten up too and they were pretty severe too. It's not greasy at all, absorbs very well, takes some elbow grease though to get it thoroughly rubbed in and I haven't had any bad reaction.
I have stretch marks, and this is really helping to diminish them. They are four years old, so that is a big deal! I also put this on many other areas, and it's is WONDERFUL! I have those bumps on my arms, and it has almost completely cleared them up. Also, my knees have always been incredibly rough, to the point of embarrassment. This is the only item that has actually softened the thick skin on my knees.
