I use this product where I have pain. It doesn't matter whether it is joint pain or muscle pain. It works better than the prescription ointment I was prescribed for arthritis pain in my hands. The only thing I can add is if you use this on your hands be careful touching around your eyes after applying it.

I thought this might be useful for travel as it makes the 3 oz. cut-off for carry-on. As far as I'm concerned it doesn't work at all. The only possible reason I can think of for buying this instead of the gel is if you don't want to get the product on your fingers. It rolls on like a deodorant. I do like the gel as you can get a sufficient amount on the affected area and can massage it in to the pain with your fingers.
