I always like some smell for my hairproducts, but I cannot really smell any after applying this balm. This might be a small bug. This isn't bad stuff, but I don't think it is a miracle conditioner. It does make my long, color-treated, fine hair feel smooth in the shower. But I still have to spray on an extra detangler when I get out of the shower in order to get a brush through it. It's a good all around conditioner, and I would agree it is probably better than most department store brands, but I still wish it was as good as WEN. Comments about Biolage by Matrix Conditioning Balm, 16 oz: Before I tried this conditioner, I never bought salon products. I thought they were overpriced and same quality. I received a sample of Biolage hydrating shampoo and conditioning balm from my stylist. After several weeks of use,I noticed my hair was easy to untangle and easier to style. With other conditioners my hair would be easy detangle and flat or have some body but tangle easy. I also would constantly buy new conditioners to try. Since I started using Biolage Conditioning Balm,I haven't used another condtioner.I have used it continuosly for 15 years. Also, the price isn't bad because I only need a small amount compared to the brands I used to buy.

Comments about Biolage by Matrix Conditioning Balm, 16 oz: Alternately use Biolage Matrix (color care) with other brand like Keratase. My hair is really dry from many years of Hi-lites and the ends are still dry and frizzy no matter what brand I use.

Comments about Biolage by Matrix Conditioning Balm, 16 oz: The product softens hair dried and damaged from the elements while it adds volumn and a beautiful scent. It has improved my hair's texture and appearance since I began using it. I recommend it even though it's a bit more expensive than I like...

Comments about Biolage by Matrix Conditioning Balm, 16 oz: Nice frequent use conditioner. I have curly, color treated hair and so far this is working really well for me. Not too greasy or heavy. Rinses very well and easily but still gives a nice amount of conditioning.

Comments about Biolage by Matrix Conditioning Balm, 16 oz: I use this produce in conjuction with Biolage Smooth Therapie smoothing shampoo when I want natural waves that are smooth without friz. I also use Biolage Cooling Mint scalp Therapie Shampoo and conditioner when I straighten my hair. It looks great. I used to have itchy scalp when I would use grocery store shampoos and have not had that problem at all since using Biolage/Matrix products.

Pros
Cons Best Uses Comments about Biolage by Matrix Conditioning Balm, 16 oz: I was looking for a deep conditioner to really help nourish my hair and take away some of the dry "frizz" I have been experiencing. While using this product hasn't made it any worse, I can't say that it has made it much better. Consequently, worth the price tag? I'm not sure.
Pros
Cons Best Uses Comments about Biolage by Matrix Conditioning Balm, 16 oz: I was introduced to this product many years ago by a hair stylist. At the time, it was called "911". This is really the only product that leaves my hair as soft and manageable as I want it to be. With my long hair, I always seem to need to use an iron after any other conditioner, but with this balm I can dry it, roll it in a hairbrush and let it sit for a few minutes, and it's ready to go.
