I don't know what started it, but my cheek just broke out in these terribly painful pimples or sores. At one time I would have about 15 or 20 pimples grouped together. I tried everything that I was told to try and nothing helped. I considered seeing a dermatologist, but didn't have the money. On a whim, I saw this face wash and bought it along with the Biore moisturizer. By this time, my face was scarred from this problem. I decided to take some Biore nose strips I had laying around and instead of using them on my nose, I put them on my cheek. After taking the strip off, I noticed these large cork type things on it. I washed with the face wash, used the moisturizer and went to bed. The next day the soreness was completely gone and a lot of the bumps had diminished. I haven't had a problem with them since. The scars are still there, but I feel so much better! I really wanted to like this cleanser, as I generally like most things Bioré. Unfortunately, this made me break out with painful cystic acne. The first time around, I wasn't sure that this was the cause. I stopped using it immediately, and after my face cleared up a couple of months later, I tried it again just to confirm. After only a few uses, the cystic acne started surfacing again. I have always suffered from breakouts. Recently tried the Neutrogena for men (smells like aftershave) and was not impressed. Biore Ice had a bit more Salicyclic Acid (2%) and I've never tried Biore before. The smell was pleasant, not overly "after shavish". I use it to shave as well, and so far, no new breakouts and it does help with the oil control. Hopefully I'll be able to report back within 2 weeks and give this a 5-star! I started using this with the triple action astringent and my face cleared up fast! Once my skin got used to it my face broke out some, but not as bad and I just used a benzol peroxide cream to supplement. I love this cleanser, it is great! It cools and it feels very refreshing. My reason for not using it anymore was that it did overdry my skin at times, and I hate that feeling. I also drank lots of water and for certain blemishes I would put fresh lemon juice on them. Because this Biore product had citrus acid in it, it agreed with the lemon juice. The key is to leave this cleanser on for about 10-30 seconds, time for the acid to work. Keep It Out Of Your Eyes!! My younger daughters use it to prevent breakouts and love it. Great product!!!! I have tried A LOT of cleansers, but this one gets rid of my acne fast, and it doesn't dry out my skin. It is worth trying if you have mild to moderate acne.
