Comments about Bliss Sugar Scrub, Blood Orange + White Pepper, 11.6 oz:
I'm SO disappointed in this product! The ingredients are probably the most 'natural" of any Bliss product (which is known for somewhat overpriced, chemical-based products), and then they have to go and throw in Sodium Laureth Sulfate! How ridiculous; the last thing I want from a sugar scrub is FOAMING ACTION, which is the ONLY reason they add Sodium Laureth SUlfate.
This otherwise moisturizing set of ingredients would be perfect for me: no salt (which sensitive skins can NEVER have in a scrub, and is increasingly difficult to find), no ingredients that never melt and clog the drain (another common mistake scrub-manufacturers make)... and a great scent! However, even with all these benefits, they are meaningless if the product is DRYING. Why go to the trouble of scrubbing with a grainy, oily product when I can simply use any old loofah/bodywash combo and get the same drying results?
Either way, I still have to apply heavy moisturizer after (in the winter, I use oil) because my skin is still so dry. Adding Sodium Laureth Sulfate defeats this purpose.
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend
