While I'm a thrifty shopper on most products, I'm very picky when it comes to certain products like my chapstick! I wish it cost what other chapsticks cost but it works so I'll continue to spend the money on it. I found something that finally works and it's all I've used since 2005. My cold sores/fever blisters have been cut down to about 1 a year or less. Even when I deploy I get online and order this and have it sent to me in Afghanistan. I'm getting ready to deploy again and I already have 30 tubes of this chapstick (my only chapstick) to get me through the year. There's always a tube in my truck, in my purse, in my pocket, next to my bed, next to my couch, in front of my computer. I can't imagine not having my Blistex, especially going to really hot, dry places as much as I do for deployment.

This stuff goes on with a somewhat lemon flavor. It feels fairly good, kind of greasy, but it's completely gone from your lips in a matter of moments!
I just smeared on a thick coat when I started this review, and already my lips are nearly as dry as when I started.
Buy Clear Advance instead (Burt's Bees *medicated* is okay, too).
Does not have that heavy, wax feeling that many other brands have. Goes on quick, without having to use a lot of pressure. Offers quick relief with a pleasant taste/smell. I use it daily here in Utah.
I love this lip protector as it goes on very smoothly, has a light feel to it, and the smell/flavor is very pleasant and not too strong. The only problem is that it does need to be reapplied more often than some others. But, I keep one at home, one at work, and one in my purse.
LOVE, LOVE, LOVE THIS BLISTEX!! I, unfortunately, have to be in the hospital frequently and this is the best lip moisturizer/treatment on the market! Non-greasy, smooth application and great smell. With the dryness of a hospital atmosphere, this is the only lip balm that makes my lips feel great in less than 24 hours. I buy at least 4 at a time: pocketbook, car, night stand, bathroom, living room, etc. Buy lots and enjoy the wonderful smell and healing power!!!
Apply liberally 15 minutes before sun exposure. Reapply at least every 2 hours. Use a water resistent sunscreen if swimming or sweating. Children under 6 months of age: Ask a doctor. Protect the product in this container from excessive heat and direct sun.
