I have tried many lip ointments, even the same brand as this one. It takes so little to put it on. I use it mainly at night and a different one during the day. It is very dry where I live and I love this one since my daughter introduced me to it. I was really getting tired of trying so many different ones and was glad to find this one. A tube lasts a very long time.

A few years ago my lips were cracking in the corners and bleeding. I went to the doctor and he gave me some medicine which did not work. I came accross Blistex in the store and decided to try it. It worked wonderfully and I have used it daily ever since. It is hard too find sometimes in stores and that is why I ordered it on-line.

I've found that if I get a burn and put this on right after icing the burned area that...NO BURN seems to develop?!?
Apply as soon as possible, and reapply often during the next 24 hours and besides soothing away any burn pain, it's as if you never got burned.

I've used it for years -- I'm allergic to lipsticks because they only make my dry lips worse. Blistex ointment is a life saver -- I also massage it into my dry cuticles!

This particular Blistex item is very hard to find. Drugstore.com again comes to the rescue.The size of the tube has been reduced but the product is the same and well worth the price.

I have been using this for many years and it is the only product that will heal my chapped lips. I frequently get dry chapped lips in the winter and also any time it is especially windy. I usually apply the ointment at bedtime, and by morning I find a noticeable improvement to my lips! Although the camphor and menthol are soothing, I truly believe it is the allantoin in the product which works so well. On the drugstore.com site's ingredient list for the product, it continues to say that allantoin is the main active ingredient, however, when you purchase the product now, the packaging now has demoted allantoin to the "inactive" status. I'm sure this is just a regulatory requirement. I have tried numerous other similar-type products in the past, with similar ingredients but minus the allantoin, and they just didn't work. The allantoin, as you can gather, is key for me. As long as the product coninues to include it in its ingredient list, I'll continue to purchase it. It's not the best smelling or tasting, but it WORKS, which is all that counts.

I have been using this product for years and have always balked at the prices in my local stores, so searched online and found the price here to be the BEST!
I coat my lips every night when I go to bed because they always dry out, crack and bleed. By using Blistex, I can avoid all that unpleasantness and wake with smooth, crack-free, healthy lips. I even use it during the day if my lips dry out too much!

This chapstick is great, makes my very dry lips soft and healthy in seconds. I'd love this balm, but I really don't like the menthol effect on my lips.
