I've used this product in the past and am using it again now because I'm trying to learn the harmonica and it's wreaking havoc on my lips. It's working well, when I can manage to keep it on my lips--it's easy to just lick it off and Blistex made it taste good. That can't be an accident. LOL

I wanted to address some issues in another review here that I found interesting:

The shine is nonexistent? There certainly is a shine. It's not a lip gloss shine, but it's definitely there.

See my point about it being easy to lick off and tasting good. I suspect this is the cause of this issue.

The lipstick-style tube does take getting use to for someone accustomed to regular lip balms, but even those usually take two hands to uncap/cap. As for take the cap OFF (not on) and apply, you can do that with this. It doesn't automatically roll itself down when you cap it and there is enough clearance in the cap to leave a couple of mm of balm exposed while capped. A non-issue, IMO.

This is the best "chap stick" ever!!! It is so silky on your lips and it gives an ever-so-slight pale sheen to my lips, I LOVE IT... AND my husband and son do, too!

I use this every time I go out. Glides on smoothly leaving my lips moisturized and soft while protecting them from the harmful rays of the sun. One great little product in a tube that does it all.

I love this stuff and order it in bulk. It may not be the MOST effective moisturizer out there, but its pretty good and tastes AWESOME.

I always have two on hand - one at home and one in my purse. I thought I was the only one, but when I was in Panama, I met a girl from Canada and she pulled out her Silk & Shine. She loves it as much as me.

I have been using this product routinely since receiving samples two years ago. It's ideal as a lipstick foundation since it goes on light and holds moisture in. I usually have 3-4 on hand - work, purse, car - so I'm never without it.

I do a lot of talking during the day and this product keeps my lips from becoming raw and dry. It's great because it never looks like I've just put on lip balm, just always looks smooth and feels fresh. Like I said in the heading - it's a rich feeling product but you don't need to be rich to use it. Good stuff.
