I've always tended to buy brands like DDF or Clinique, but I needed larger quantities (at a lower price) because I'm starting college and have to walk around campus in 100+ degree heat for hours. I'm a redhead, burn incredibly easily, and do not tan. Ever. I burn, then peel. A sunburn will also trigger a shingles outbreak, which is so incredibly painful I cannot describe it. Skin cancer is prevalent in my family, so I'm a bit paranoid about it, also. This regular formula has many of the same chemical sunscreens as many other brands, even though it does have zinc oxide for UVA protection (which is good if you're specifically allergic to, say, Avobenzone). Because my daughter and I didn't know which chemicals we were allergic to, we tried this one thinking the Zinc would help. Both of us had a reaction--not very serious, but still (one or two hives, a small rash). If you have very sensitive skin, stick to the Sensitive Skin formula. It is really hard to find in stores (and this year it was in such short supply that I had to order it), but it is some of the best sunscreen we've used. When it comes to sunscreen, I do NOT skimp and I love Blue Lizard! Service and delivery comments: FAST delivery, in time for our trip to the beach!
