I use this every morning before I go outside. I am in and out of my car all day, so I often get a lot of sun. Rarely do I show any redness-even after going to the beach. The texture of the regular formula is great for putting on makeup over it.
If there is a con--it's that it's hard to get. I found it first at a skin care salon.

I have fair skin that burns easily. While planning a recent Hawaii vacation, I did a lot of research into what brands of sunscreen effectively block UVA and UVB rays. My dermatologist advised that I find a brand with a high level (over 5%) of zinc oxide. Blue Lizard was a perfect match for me! It's difficult to find in stores, so I ordered it from drugstore.com. It worked like a charm. I have a pretty vigorous routine for applying sunscreen: before I even put my swimsuit on, I stand in the bathroom and cover myself from head to toe, then let it soak in for 10 minutes of so before I step into sunshine. I always felt like I was completely protected in the sun -- there was no burning or tingling that I sometimes feel with less effective sunscreen. Each application would last around 2 hours (sometimes more, if I didn't go in the water). One thing to keep in mind is you need to let it soak in completely before getting wet! Otherwise, the sunscreen beads on your skin and won't absorb. I played in the Hawaiian sun for seven straight days and didn't walk away with a single burn -- that's quite an accomplishment for me.

Very water resistant!! The only thing that does not wash off when my six year old spends the day in the pool - and does not burn! That is a tall order for a summer day in Arizona - I am buying more!!

I have fair skin and I burn easy. A doctor told me about Blue Lizard and I tried it. I will never use any other sun screen. I have not gotten sunburned since I used this product. For anyone that burns easy like me you will love this sunscreen.
