As a fair-skinned person, sunscreen is a must for me. But with my sensitive skin, most of the brands I've tried make me break out. Blue Lizard for sensitive skin uses only zinc oxide and titanium dioxide, so I have no problem with breakouts or rashes! I use it everyday - even though it feels a bit heavy, it actually makes a great base for the new mineral powder foundations on my face. It has no offensive odor. My only complaint is the bottle: over time, the paint on the label starts to come off on my fingers! I transferred the product into my own lotion dispenser when this started happening. Also, the price is a bargain compared to other "natural" sunscreens.

I am always looking for sunscreens containing zinc oxide. This was priced right and had the ingredients I was looking for. ONly problem is, this stuff is very hard to apply! I wear sunscreen on my face daily, and my habit is to apply it first thing, after I wash my face in the AM. even if my skin is a bit damp, this stuff will just smear and leave a ghostly cast and will NOT absorb into my skin. So I actually tote it around and will apply it at lunch before i go outside for a walk (and when my skin is drier). This has no odor but I would say it is a bit greasy. I have since used it only for my body and not on my face. The bottle is kind of fun since it changes color when exposed to UV/regular sunlight. Other than that, there's nothing special to say about this.

Comments about Blue Lizard Australian Sunscreen, Sensitive, SPF 30+, 5 fl oz:

since i have fair skin n it can leave a very white cast. i called the co and she told me to use my regular moisturizer underneath to alleviate the issue. it makes spreading it on easier n doesnt cake into large pores this way. besides the pros i listed another plus is the tad of whiteness makes my fair, pinkish, blotchy skin look great.

Comments about Blue Lizard Australian Sunscreen, Sensitive, SPF 30+, 5 fl oz:

I started going to the Caribbean for summer vacation a few years ago, and always got horrible irritation that lasted for weeks after we returned. My allergist recommended this, and I use nothing else and have never had a burn or rash again. Am in the Virgin Islands now enjoying myself instead of hurting. A must for people with sensitive skin.

Comments about Blue Lizard Australian Sunscreen, Sensitive, SPF 30+, 5 fl oz:

I have a toddler, and wanted to be super extra definitely sure that I was protecting him from the sun as much as humanly possible during our one week vacation - I myself tan nicely as long as I have sunblock on, but if I miss a spot, it turns red and peels - he seems to have the same type of skin, and I do not want him red and peeling!

This product worked very well - but so did the neutrogena baby sunbock I bought last year when I couldn't get my hands on this stuff in time for that vacation.

So in summary - it's good stuff, but there's no reason not to pay less for one of the other brands.

I used it as well on my face (same as I did last time with the neutrogena stuff), and I got the same results as last year - it's not that it doesn't work or isn't great, I just don't see the benefit of paying more for this!

              Hope that helps!

Comments about Blue Lizard Australian Sunscreen, Sensitive, SPF 30+, 5 fl oz:

I use this stuff every day, alone and under make-up. It goes on very rich feeling, absorbs into the skin completely, and I only notice a little zinc 'whiteness' while it's still sinking into my skin. I used to be one of those people who didn't go out in the sun, not anymore. I do not want my skin to age due to sunlight. I only wish I'd found it sooner.

You probably already know this, but Blue Lizard Sensitive is listed as the #1 sunscreen by dermatologists. I had Fraxel lazer on my face, and my dermo had me use his line's sunscreen post-procedure. He ended telling me to use Blue Lizard Sensitive because he bought the formulary from BL for his sunscreen (SkinMedica Environmental Defense, $40 for 3 oz). I think he figured I wouldn't consistently use that expensive of a product (and he was correct).

I'm very critical of skin products, but he was right, the BL Sensitive is the best sunblock/screen on the market. Uses physical block instead of those chemical-type sun blocking agents that need to be re-applied because they break down in sunlight. I'm not sure, but I think the non-sensitive BL uses some of the chemical-type.

It's awesome that you don't have to keep re-applying this stuff when you are wearing make-up. (I suppose if you sweat or rub your face, you'd want to re-apply.)

The only problem is that it's hard to find in local drugstores, seems to only appear seasonally. Very happy I found drugstore.com.
