I've tried 3-4 bath brushes and this one is my favorite by far. The natural bristles feel great on my skin, and are easy to clean when my hair gets wrapped around them (maybe once a month). I do not like the brush head coming off though, so I glued it on permanently. Otherwise it flies off when you are using it - could potentially damage items in your tub/shower.

I looked high and low for over a year to replace my chain drugstore purchase of a brand of bath brush I can not remember. It was absolutely the best natural, wooden brush I ever had the pleasure to use. It lasted for years with constant use before the backing that held bristles to the brush base started to loosen and crack and then eventual bristle loss. These bristles never lost their shape or effectiveness. They were as firm and held together tightly as they were on the first days use. I retired that brush realizing it was time for a new one but regretted it ever since. I finally found the Body Benefits that looks identical to my older one and made the purchase without hesitation, we are talking about a back brush here, why has this finding a replacement brush brought so much grief to my life? The first month of use went uneventful until the bristles at close observation were all bent over and falling out, so maybe there was 25% of original bristles that were making contact with my body and not doing a very effective job of exfoliation or cleansing. That first one really spoiled me so getting one that lasts maybe two months would not be so bad for the price. I saw a Italian made one for 7x the amount I paid for the bad one on the same site. I was considering it but thought twice about it until I can read some reviews.on it. I also saw another one at another site for 20x that same amount but that just seemed way out of line for a brush. Why is it so hard to find a selection of bath brushes on one site? I noticed about 15 sites so far with a selection of one or two brushes max. Are these wonderful staples to bathing and exfoliation becoming extinct or something? I will continue on my trek to find the decent bath brush that will hold its own for a good 6 months or so. Wish me luck, I know I am not alone in this nightmare!

I usually break off the handle because it's so long. Not an easy task to do, but a couple of hammer hits and it's off. I love the gentle exfoliation I get everyday with it. I replace it 2x a year.

Comments about Body Benefits Natural Bristle Bath Brush, 1 ea:

Living on a farm, I end the day with chiggers and ticks no matter how much DEET I spray on myself. There was one spot on my back that I could never reach with scrub gloves, especially now that I have shoulder problems. And that's where I would get insect bites, since I couldn't scrub them off! Now I can scrub everywhere with soft yet sturdy bristles that really suds up. The handle is long and feels good in the hand. There is a strap on the back of the brush head so you can apply pressure when the handle is not needed. After using, rinse well and hang to dry. I also use it to apply lotion and anti-itch cream to that spot on my back I can't reach. Good for scratching, too -- not too harsh, not too soft.

This is a dual-use brush. Great for getting your back and I take the brush off and with the strap use it all over my body. It exfoliates nicely without being too abrasive. You determine the amount of exfoliation by applying more or less pressure.

this brush is so poorly made that it fell apart after just a few uses. It looks nice, but is a complete waste of money. Buy some other brush, not this!

A back scrub that comes apart? That's a terrible idea because you KNOW it's going to come apart when you don't want it to - and as expected, it does - in the middle of the night (as mentioned in an earlier review) or during actual washing. The wood fit of the handle to brush just becomes warped with use and doesn't stay connected after a short time of use. You could injure yourself trying to get it to hold together. You wind up wanting to glue it - but why bother? Get a one piece back scrub.

Seemed fine at first but after about a week of moderate use the bristles are starting to become matted. The last bath brush that I purchased took about two years for that to start happening. I believe my old one was made by BASS. Unfortunately I cant find that brand anywhere anymore. This one was pretty disappointing.

I use the product to brush my skin and stimulate its cleanising process. The bristles are hard enough to stimulate the skin without being irritating. I would buy this brush any day over the [$] "spa" brushes!

I don't use this in the shower, so I really couldn't say how it would hold up for that. I actually use this for daily skin brushing (on dry skin) before my shower each day. It is good for your lymphatic system and skin. For that usage, this brush is perfect. The part where the handle and the head come together is held together by tape when it arrived, so I just left it on. With that tape on, I've had no problems with the bristle part flying off. But that wouldn't be practical for someone using it in the shower.
