I've developed a dry cough that my doctor has proclaimed benign. He gave me RX cough syrup, but i still get break through coughing. Since i am "allowed" to take this every two hours, i do inbetween for relief, and find it unbelievably effective. I cannot understand WHY, not being a homeopathic fan, but at this point, do not CARE!!!! I even have placed some in a small bottle for emergency "coughing fits," and find it amazingly effective.
HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!!

I love that Chestal is natural and yet still extremely effective in eliminating my children's cough. We use it in the daytime but I particularly love giving it to them at nighttime. It helps them to fall asleep quickly and comfortably. I will never buy another cough syrup again. I usually buy 3 of these at a time to have on hand for when needed. Even my skeptical husband requests it everytime he has a cough. Thank you Boiron for making an excellent product and thank you Drugstore.com for carrying this awesome product!!

I got really bad case of bronchitis in the last trimester, my 2 year old daughter got sick as well.
My mother-in-law brought Chestal from the health store by the store owner recommendation.
I started feeling better within 24 hours after taking it. Bad deep unproductive cough turned into mild and productive instead.
I also gave it to my daughter and her cough subsided within hours
It worked for me!

I have always been a believer in homeopathic medicines simply because they work, if you have the correct remedy for your condition. This cough syrup is simply the best, most effective cough remedy ever. It has worked wonders on my children's persistent nighttime coughs and now my husband has benefited as well for his cough that wouldn't let him sleep. One reviewer talked about the extreme sweetness of this product. It is homeopathic medicine in a honey base. Honey in this amount is actually good for you. Grandma really knew what she was talking about. It's good for throats and and has anti-bacterial properties.
Overall, a great product. An added benefit is that this medicine helps loosen phlegm on the chest so your body can get rid of it.

This was recommended to me years ago by my accupuncturist. This is great cough syrup. The whole family uses it. There is an adult version and a child's version, although I have used them interchangeably. (I would check with a health pro for really little kids because it is honey-based.) I have used it on my 2 year old grandchildren with great success. It tastes good and it really works, and it works quickly!

I think it is more gentle to use a homeopathic than other types of cough syrup...especially since the results are so fast and it has no side-effects.

This is a wonderful cough remedy, especially for kids. Unlike horrible artificial Robitassin which make kids throw up, this medicine has a pleasant taste of natural honey which kids love. I gave it to my daughter when she was endlessly sick during preschool years, and will do the same for my son, now 3 years old. I found this syrup the only cough relief remedy on the market our family can tolerate and actually love. It would not probably work for phemonia, but for common cold coughs it is great!

Oh my gosh, this stuff is pure sugar in the form of an extremely thick, heavy syrup (it's like real honey). I have many reservations about giving this to my 3-year old (especially every 2 hours!). I neither want him to ingest that much sugar or honey, nor have a thick syrupy film rotting his teeth (at age 3, we don't exactly get the most thorough tooth brushing all the time - even if I could get him to do it every two hours)! I'm surprised that this isn't an issue for anyone. I would much prefer something less sugary!

Had a really nasty flu virus lasting about a week. This stuff seemed to minimize the coughing some, but by no means was a miracle. At first it didnt seem to do anything, but the 2nd day I used it I noticed improvement. Not sure if I was just getting better on my own or if it was due to the Chestal. But it does taste great ...
