I have had eczema on my face for over 10 years,..on my upper lip and above my eyes. I have tried every gentle formula out there from rx creams like elidel to clinique for sensitive skin and nothing has worked,..until this! This magical serum is not irritating, doesn't taste or smell bad (none at all actually) and lasts so much longer than any moisturizer. I used to have to lotion up every hour or more but with this I can put it on and it feels natural for hours. Doesn't even feel like it's on,..not thick or greasy or anything else. Wish I would have found this sooner. I can even wear it under makeup.

Comments about Boots Expert Sensitive Hydrating Serum, 1.69 fl oz:

After developing sensitivities to almost EVERYTHING I once used on my face, I was on a mission to find a non greasy moisturizer that wouldn't scar me for life (no kidding... I'm left with actual burn scars around my mouth from products I use to use). I tried extremely high end products that did nothing but disappoint. I did find face oils didn't burn (with the exception of rosehip oil, which was as bad as some of my previous products), but I wanted something more. I think it was Boots face oil that originally got me turned onto the Expert Sensitive line. I tried the eye cream first, and my under eye skin drank it up without a problem. Months later I tentatively tried the Hydrating Serum on my forehead only, the least sensitive part of my face. Overnight I noticed an exceptional softness to my forehead skin, and no irritation or burning. I ventured using it on my cheeks also and had the same results. I still won't use it on my chin/lower face, only because I'm scared to put any product on that area. I only use organic olive oil to cleanse my face (commercial face cleansers, even Cetaphil, causes a reaction), a few drops of organic grapeseed, pomegranate and marula oils to moisturize (these are 'dry' oils that penetrate the dermis, leaving the skin moist but not greasy). Now, with the Hydrating Serum I have something that helps to soften the skin as well. Hope Boots never discontinues it!

Comments about Boots Expert Sensitive Hydrating Serum, 1.69 fl oz:

I've been using this serum for about a year now and really like it. It's basic and inexpensive and gets the job done. It does have some parabens at the end of the ingredients so if you're not into those, I would avoid this. This is not a heavy moisturizer, it's a lightweight serum that works great before makeup application because it doesn't make your face greasy. I basically use it as a foundation primer.

Comments about Boots Expert Sensitive Hydrating Serum, 1.69 fl oz:

I have a super-dry, hyper-sensitive (not acne, but allergy/eczema-prone) complexion & after many years using the Clinique 3-Step products, I developed a sudden nasty intolerance. I've been looking for a replacement for a very long time. A British beauty blogger suggested Boots' "Expert" line. I couldn't believe the price. (Boots is a mega-pharmacy in the UK & this is their house brand.) I picked up the eye cream first & that went well, so I bought the toner, serum & moisturizer. I tried each product for a week, separately, to make sure I could tolerate them individually. So, now I wash my face w/Cetaphil, use Boots' "Expert Sensitive Hydrating" toner, serum, moisturizer & eye cream every morning & night, & finally feel like myself again. It's light, but when I touch my face I can feel the difference & when I wash my face I can tell I'm rinsing away barrier that protected my skin all day. Does it do any anti-aging magic? To tell you the truth, I never thought I'd find an effective moisturizer again, so if it diminished lines, that's just a bonus. Yes, I was just that desperate. Also, remember that everyone reacts to different chemicals, just because you have a bad reaction, it doesn't mean that everyone will. I learned the hard way... YOU HAVE TO TEST EVERYTHING if you have sensitive skin. It's just part of life. That's why I tried to be specific in this review, so women who have similar issues can make better judgement about what might work for them. Good luck.

Comments about Boots Expert Sensitive Hydrating Serum, 1.69 fl oz:

Boots Expert Serum is more of a serum/cream. It isn't packed with ingredients that are beneficial to skin, but that's okay. I wanted something to put on before makeup application that wasn't going to irritate my skin and give it some moisture at a good price. This fits the bill fine.

Comments about Boots Expert Sensitive Hydrating Serum, 1.69 fl oz:

I have purchased this product several times, and it is a great product. I have very sensitive combination skin, and this does not irritate it at all. It absorbs instantly and is not irritating or greasy at all. The only two downfalls of this product are (1) the pump does not reach the bottom of the bottle, so you are always left with a bit of product at the bottom that is impossible to reach, and (2) it contains parabens, which I typically try to avoid.

Comments about Boots Expert Sensitive Hydrating Serum, 1.69 fl oz:

I really wanted to like this as I have been trying to find a light moisturizer that works with my super sensitive skin and doesn't clog my pores. This seemed to fit the bill, but sadly it made my combo skin super oily/shiny and also stung a bit. Might be best for dry skin that isn't so sensitive.

Comments about Boots Expert Sensitive Hydrating Serum, 1.69 fl oz:

I was looking for an inexpensive alternative to my favorite serum, Philosophy's "When Hope is Not Enough". This seems to work just as well for a much lower price. The serum is creamy, absorbs very well and has no fragrance. I use it under my moisturizer morning and night. My husband likes it too, and he has super-sensitive skin.
