Comments about Boots Extracts Body Scrub, Bergamot, 6.7 fl oz:
i've always been a fan of boots and trusted the brand,so i was shocked when i got this one in hand only to find the first ingredient listed is mineral oil. i would never, ever knowingly put any petroleum by-product on my body. skin is unable to absorb mineral oil, which means it just sits there, and worse, it blocks the pores--why include organic thises & thats in a formula when its most predominant ingredient makes it impossible for your skin to take advantage of any of their benefits?
so why wasn't this made with some skin-and-eco-friendly oil or other(olive, coconut, etc) instead? mineral oil was probably used as an expense-cutter, which is too often the case with skin care products in every price range. by doing so, boots compromises the effectiveness of the scrub, not to mention their own integrity--this stuff doesn't belong on any sort of "natural" products list, and that's how it's being marketed. sad to say, the bottom line is this: first experience or 100th buying from any company, always read the label.
