I've been using RGP lenses for 30-plus years, of necessity (I have severe Keratoconus), and have been an 'early-adopter' of day-use Orthokeratology (not the 'over-night' type being hyped these days).

I have been using Boston products the entire time that I have worn RGP lenses, and have found them to be excellent. I switched to the 'Advanced' conditioner shortly after it became available, and have found it to provide substantially better comfort than the original formula.

The product is not without its problems: it is very 'thick' (presumably, this provides the increased cushioning), which means that, even slightly too much of it in the eye will cause the lens to 'float', and refuse to settle properly on the eye. However, I know of no alternative - it is simply the best product for supporting RGP lenses, on the US market today.

When your eye doctor advises not to use the product because results have shown too many people getting Giant P. Conjuctivitis, I would say take this stuff off the market.

It's not like RGP wearers really have many choices in lenscare solutions. Boston is the most readily available brand out there and works just fine. I like the Advance formula as I have sensitive eyes.

Original formula was irritating - the advance formula is much better

Inferior in comfort to Boston Original Formula that was sold in the 1990s and prior to 2008 at many retail locations and warehouse clubs. The Advance formula just does not seem to provide the same comfort as the OLD Boston Original Formula (which B&L keeps seeming to want to phase out due to cost concerns).
