This is great stuff and more than just a diaper cream. I always give a small size as a shower gift and recommend it to friends. In addition to being a great diaper cream, it is really good for dry chapped skin on baby. When my daughter was teething, she'd chew on her hands all day and it was cold out (and dry from the heater inside) and her hands would get sooo chapped. I'd put the Boudreaux's on once she fell asleep at night and it would be much better in the morning. She would have had a real problem if not for the Dr. B's. The same worked from my son with chapped cheeks.
I bought this to try on my grandson's diaper rash. Wow! This stuff really works and works faster than you would think possible. In one day, his little butt went from red to completely normal. I hesitated to buy this small tube because of the price, but I'm sure glad I did. A little dab goes a long way, the smell isn't offensive, and the baby was comfortable right away. The box is cute and he likes holding it while I change his diaper. My daughter recommended it to me and I thought she was kidding me because of the funny name.
I primarily used Desitin for my first son, but my second son broke out in a red, bumpy rash. We tried several other brands with the same results. My husband got online and researched the various ingredients that can cause allergic reactions and found that they were common in most brands. After reading all the labels, we tried this and it worked. When you're in a hurry it's tempting to just remove a wet diaper and put on a new one, but take that extra step to wipe off the old cream and apply fresh cream.
This stuff is great! I was a die-hard Desitin user for my son, but with my daughter, it just didn't do the trick. Butt Paste cleared up the rash almost totally within one day. Totally recommend it!
Change wet and soiled diapers promptly. Cleanse the diaper area. Allow to dry. Apply ointment liberally as often as necessary, with each diaper change and especially when exposed to wet diapers for a prolonged period of time, such as bedtime.
