The actual shaver only works with shorter hairs...still then doesn't work that well. The trimmer is the main reason I bought it. I like to keep the stubble look. It just doesn't work great. It misses as many hairs as it gets and you have to go in all different directions many different passes to get everything, effectively shaving your face about 30 times over. I cannot say why it doesn't work great, but it just doesn't. I'm moving on to something else to find something that works better. This is my first Braun product and I'm a little dissappointed.

Works very well to trim your beard and even your head, but it lacks enough adjustment. There is a huge difference from 1mm to 3mm with this shaver and no setting for 2mm. A little disappointing as I think a 2mm setting would have been just right for me.

I was using just a hair trimmer and it was a nightmare. This had good ratings so I got it. I love it. I found the perfect setting and can now trim with the smaller blade.

I use this trimmer to keep my hair looking as though I just left the Barber Shop. It is quiet and very easy to use, I am able to keep my hair freshly trimmed two or three times a week. And if I take a couple of days off, this trimmer is powerful enough to just flow right through that hair and clean me up quickly.

I have started using this cordless trimmer as my go to trimmer in place of my heavy corded barber style trimmer for cutting my hair. I am totally impressed with it's weight and it's ability to just cut straight through the thickest of areas of hair on the top and back of my head. I have used this unit myself to cut my hair and I have even enlisted my wife's assistance and allowed her to try it out on my hair. She has never used a trimmer to cut anyone's hair before and within minutes she was comfortable and trimming away.

The charging time is very quick compared to other similar units, in less than an hour it is fully charged. The adjustability that is achieved with this trimmer is outstanding, you can switch from trimming your hair to cleaning up your beard in no time at all. I have fairly thick hair and it has absolutely no problems at all just powering straight through my hair without bogging down like other trimmers tend to.
The charge that this trimmer holds is very good. I can get a minimum of three uses out of each charge and for me each session can last more than 30 minutes of continuous use.

The price and quality of this unit make it a must purchase item for me. I would recommend this trimmer to anyone that uses a trimmer on a daily basis.

Pros: Quiet and effective shaver. The adjustable guard is convenient and does not grab facial hair. Does a nice job on the neck and around the ears. It is washable, charges relatively quickly, and packs up nicely for travel. Cons: It takes a couple of passes to get everything evenly trimmed, which makes it similar to every other trimmer I've ever used. It could be a bit more powerful... but then it would be louder, I suppose.

Very versatile. Comes with 2 different length comb attachments, each extending in millimeter increments so you can set the cutting length from 1 to 20mm. Plus it has an extra, small trimmer arm that slides out that is good for small tight areas. Very slick.

Feels nice in your hand. Sturdy, well-built, solid, but not heavy or cumbersome. Like the cordless feature. Our old trimmer was corded and it would always get in the way. Old one would get really hot too, but this one stays cool. That said, I haven't tried mowing through any really thick hair yet, but it does sound fairly powerful and didn't have any problems so far.

Overall it's a nice product.

My boyfriend usually cuts his own hair because he refuses to go to the salon to get a hair cut. I am very particular about how his hair looks (he usually cuts it way too short), and he always asks me to help him out, especially with the neck line, but I was always too scared. With this product, I feel like it does exactly what I want (i.e. where I place the razor is actually where it cuts the hair), and that's not always true for some products.
