Best shaver I've ever had. So nice to not have to clean it every day on my own. Just put it in the holder, push the clean button, and it'll be charged and fully cleaned the next time you're ready to use it. Great close shave, quiet, get one now!

I've used Braun shavers since 1982 when I was stationed in Germany. I've had everything from their AA battery operated travel shaver to the 5000 series self cleaning shaver and they all had one thing in common - excellent craftsmanship. This one, however, is an exception to the rule. I will eventually try another Braun shaver but if the performance of this future purchase is as dismal as this one, it will be my last. The battery won't stay charged, it takes several swipes over the beard to cut it close, the shaver chafes my skin and actually has left me with razor burn. It has also pulled the hair on my face causing ingrown hairs and zits. It has to be the absolute worst shaver I have ever purchased in my entire life.

Whether a quick touch up or after two days, this razor really does the job. It is fast, quiet and very close. I had been touching up in the shower with a blade razor, but with the new Braun 590c that is not necessary. I love the razor and the cleaning system.
