Transitioning from an obstructive faucet-mounted unit, I didn't want to sacrifice any of the benefits or filter quality for convenience. Thankfully, with the pitcher unit I purchased and these filters, I didn't have to sacrifice anything: it's the same great tasting water in a more convenient form. Beyond taking out the majority of a number of impurities, the water simply tastes better than coming from the tap. I won't rave too much about this- since you don't care and won't understand what I mean until you try it for yourself. No, these filters aren't the cheapest and they don't last the longest, but when it comes to what you put into your body (and what has been shown to be in regular tap water), price isn't always the most important thing.

The water tastes great....but the major problem with these filters is that they don't last very long. There are also black carbon bits that keep floating in the filter tank that don't seem to go away. I bought these because I got a good deal...but I'm not sure if I'll continue buying them.....I think tap water would be just as healthy. I saw residue floating in the filtered water quite a few times....so I'm not sure how safe this filtering system really is!
Comments about Brita Water Filter Pitcher Replacement Filters, 3 ea:
I use this in my refrigerator dispenser tank and it always lasts longer than suggested. I can tell when the water no longer tastes fresh and clean. I drink at least 4 - 12 oz. glasses of water plus use it for coffee, oatmeal, pasta, my cat's water dish, etc. and I still only have to replace it about every 4 months not 3 months. Does a very good job for its purpose. Little flecks of charcoal sometimes find their way into the water, but it is harmless.
Service and delivery comments:
Delivery is always amazingly fast..."why go to the store and pay more, when it can be delivered fast to your door." Usually arrives in good condition but the few times it did not, Customer Service is always super-accommodating.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
Getting started: 1) Wash your hands before unwrapping the filter. 2) Soak new filter. 3) Insert filter into reservoir. 4) Add cold tap water. See user's guide for detailed instructions. It is normal for carbon dust to appear in your first 2 pitchers. Discard this water, or use it to water plants.
