Believe it or not I went from using mousse everyday to this. This is way better - makes my hair look and lay more naturally and it does hold pretty well. I will say I use a bit more than just a "dab." The downsides are that the smell is noticeable throughout the day (it's not a particularly bad smell), and it does rub off on your hands and anything else that touches your hair. I think the best description of this is to call it a smoother pomade cream.

I've switched to this, from hair gel, for keeping my hair from becoming frizzy. To that end, it works great, and it requires so little product that a single bottle will likely last a few months, making this a very affordable item.

On the downside: it has a very strong, very noticeable smell. I'm not sure how to describe it, as it's very unique; the closest I can think of would be the smell of shaving cream, but that's not quite right, either. Also, by its very nature, the product will make your hair slightly greasy; as long as you don't use too much, however, you should generally be fine.

My husband has used this product for over 40 years. He wouldn't even think to change usng another product. Not easy to find in stores.
