I typically try to stay away from gels but regular brylcreem is a little greasy and doesn't work on cowlicks. This works and makes my hair look good and professional. Just put it on, style and let it dry. after it dries comb it through for a clean professional look. You can even dab a little brylcreem in after if you like the smell of the original stuff.

When I read the reviews, I was so hopeful I had just found my new go-to product for spiky hair. It is inexpensive, has an o.k. fragrance, adds body, but (this is a big one for me), it left no spikes. And I just had a haircut, thinking my hair was too long to give the right look.
So, I must continue using a paste that sets my hair in concrete (it feels like it) and costs about 10 times the amount of Brylcreem Power Hold. So the hunt continues for that one product. I know you are out there!

Honestly, I love product and usually shy away from drugstore brands BUT it's a rough economy so I'm trying to cut my spending some. Based on the reviews, I got this. I liked that it is alcohol free which is what my dermatologist recommended since I have receding hair and alopecia areata. This stuff works well styling hair, keeping it in place all day and not getting flaky or greasy. There's no scent, which I like and there is no way to possibly beat this price. It's great!!
