It certainly provides sun protection, and is definitely waterproof! But... it doesn't rub in well at all! I used it once, and will never use it again. I could not get it to rub in, so I had white all over! Also, I spent a lot of time in the ocean, and it would not come off. I had to scrub myself with a loofa to get it off. I guess if you're very sensitive to the sun this is the product for you. Otherwise, stick with the gel.

Whereas the 36 Bullfrog doesn't work at all, this one does work, with some issues. The zinc solution coats, but turns your skin blue. This doesn't bother me too much when I am already a little burned, but when you're pale to begin with it make you looks somewhat ridiculous. The other downer is that it gets in your eyes and burns pretty bad. And it doesn't get out of your eyes very easily. Buy Aloe Gator...much better!

This product really really works. I have tried dozens of sunscreens, as I am super sun sensitive and also love to be outdoors. I have not found a more effective sunscreen, BUT, HUGE BUT... this SPF 50 leaves a very chalky white layer. It makes your face (and body) look Geisha or Clown white. Meanwhile, it totally works. I use SPF45 and then layer this suncreen on top in the crucial places - tops of shoulder, forehead, cheeks, nose... and it does really really work.

Overall Bullfrog is the best sunscreen. However, this particular item was terrible and I would not purchase this item again.

Dive masters in the South Pacific recommended this, and they spend a lot of time in the water. I have fair skin that would burn easily if unprotected. I use it when I go to the Caribbean or just to the beach. I apply it once and I am set for the day. I will tan with it (just slightly) but won't burn. It's too thick for me to wear everyday but I won't go south without it.

Every year I go to Indonesia and surf for two weeks in the heat of the day, every day. I have tried lots of other sunscreens, and this one works best. Look at all the active ingredients - way more active ingredients in higher proportions, and superior waterproofing.

Excellent protection. I applied this at 6:30 am while on a tour of Europe and never worried about the sun again. I only went to the pool/beach one day, but without re-applying I still was not burned. My only complaint is that it left a whitish residue on my skin, mostly on my face. A small price to pay for 100% sun protection! (I am a fair skinned redhead!)

I have used Bullfrog for 10 years, and it has always worked great. I am very fair-skinned and if I don't use sunscreen, I burn very badly. But if I use this I don't get burned at all, and it lasts for a few hours while swimming and things like that. It's great.
