Unlike so many I've tried, it's ultra-light, has a wonderful smell, and isn't at all greasy. I wear it literally everyday, all year round, and it has become a regular step in my morning routine. Both of my teenage daughters are using it everyday as well - the ultimate test!!! VS Most Liked Negative Review Try on your forearm first!!! Today is Sunday August 21, 2011. Last Saturday 8/13 around 1pm, I was hurrying out the door to disc golf in the sun. I put a bit of the BullFrog Face Protection on my face, mostly cheeks and nose and neck. It was great [it did not have the antiseptic-like sting like BullFrog QuikGel Sunblock] and blended well [it did not leave me shiny like the Gel]. When I awoke on Sun 8/14, my face was fine and I was oh so pleased. The afternoon was sunny, so I headed out to disc golf again. This time, I applied the face protection liberally on my cheeks, nose, and neck. I got some on my eyelids, which I did not intend, but did so out of habit from when I apply moisturizer. I put some on my earlobes because they too are exposed to sun. I was out from about 3-6pm. When I got home, I noticed some swelling near the outside corner of my eye, but wasn't sure if it was from mosquitoes or the sunscreen. Monday when I woke, my face [and ears and neck] was a tad puffy and itchy. By the end of the day, I was almost unrecognizeable. I have had bad sunscreen reactions before and this was like those times. It was not from mosquitoes. I put some of the sunscreen on my forearm and later the next day, I had a rash. My face [and ears and neck] is not as puffy as it was earlier in the week, but it is still swollen and itchy. It's been a week and I'm hoping to be back to normal soon. I just wanted to warn anyone with my kind of skin about this particular product. I had high hopes because I have found BullFrog to be a brand that is skin-friendly and it had outstanding reviews, but this one is not for me. ALWAYS try on forearm first!! Comments about Bull Frog Ultimate Sheer Protection Face, SPF 30, 3 oz: Although this sunblock is 'oil - free' it causes a lot of shine, which doesn't bother me but other users may dislke it. It also contains some 'botanical' ingredients which may irritate sensitive skin, like it did for me. Pros

Comments about Bull Frog Ultimate Sheer Protection Face, SPF 30, 3 oz: I love this sun screen, it has a pleasant fragrance and dries quickly w/o oil. I got a small sample tube at my Dermatologist's office after surgery for skin cancer, I feel confident I'm getting the protection I need with this product. Pros

Comments about Bull Frog Ultimate Sheer Protection Face, SPF 30, 3 oz: I use this daily on my face and head. I have a decent sized bald spot and i use this to facilitate my not burning my head. The lotion goes on very easy, not too greasy, but dries quickly and is not greasy once dry. The odor is pleasant, not too bad, and I like the fact that I know my face, neck, and head are protected daily from the sun. I do wish that is came in a larger size, but I am fine with this current available size. I like that it is from Bull Frog, a brand that I trust for sun protection. Pros

Comments about Bull Frog Ultimate Sheer Protection Face, SPF 30, 3 oz: tThis is a great product if your trying to keep the sun UVA/UVB rays off your face. I swim 5 days a week for 60-90 minutes in an out door pool and I have not found a better product for my face. It is a little thick when rubbing it in but wook great on my pale skin, no more sun burns on this face. Pros

Comments about Bull Frog Ultimate Sheer Protection Face, SPF 30, 3 oz: This a great product for hiking and skiing. It goes on quick and easy and does the job. I use it everyday before I head out. Works great on the faces of my children also. Pros
Cons Best Uses Comments about Bull Frog Ultimate Sheer Protection Face, SPF 30, 3 oz: I have tried tons of facial sunscreens, This has got to be one of the most cosmetically elegant drugstore sunscreens I have tried. It is non-greasy which is a huge plus and it has a mild floral/green scent. I am constantly looking for a sunscreen that I can use daily for casual days that doesnt feel greasy, is invisible, and cheap and wont sting my eyes or skin. This seems to be it. Other chemical sunscreens tend to sting my facial skin - this one doesnt. Itll be my new pre and post gym sunscreen and its cheap in comparison to the department store/boutique brands I buy. |
