It has a nice cooling sensation when applied and it's like you can feel it hydrating your lips. I had terrible chapped lips last winter (I was in a new climate and my skin was not adapting well at all), and I was using chap stick, which was not cutting it. I found this in a 4 pack for $[$] (it came with a tin of this, a tube of this, the honey kind and another kind, but I don't remember which one) and all of them did a wonderful job at treating my painfully chapped lips. This along with Carmex, are my favorite lip products when I need something hydrating and soothing. It's very hard, which makes it long lasting & smash resistant, but not as moisturizing as softer lip balms. I recommend getting Dr. Bronner's Peppermint lip balm instead of this. Bronner's has organic ingredients, more hydration, and is about the same price as Burt's Bees. The peppermint flavor is milder, but if you have dry lips Bronner's is a more effective balm. Comments about Burt's Bees Beeswax Lip Balm, 1 ea: Very good product, I am under isotretinoin treatment so I have dry lips all the time, and this has been very helpful with it. Pros

Comments about Burt's Bees Beeswax Lip Balm, 1 ea: The peppermint flavor/scent is awesome. The bees wax glides on, unlike competitors such as standard Chap Stick brand (Chap Stick, which you may as well try and rub a crayon across your lips, you'd get about the same effect). I got this to keep nearby my computer because I spend a lot of time around there during the day and I always find myself using lip balm. I likely won't use this overnight, though, and will continue to use Eucerin Aquaphor for a more moisturizing overnight treatment. Burt's Bees, though, will be a favorite daytime lip treat. Pros Cons
Best Uses Comments about Burt's Bees Beeswax Lip Balm, 1 ea: I used this awhile back and found that it had a grittiness which further irritated my lips and the mint was so strong as to subsequently cause a burning sensation. Pros

Comments about Burt's Bees Beeswax Lip Balm, 1 ea: I have always had severely dry lips. When I started using this product every day I noticed great results. My lips rarely get as chapped as they used to and I love the peppermint taste and natural ingredients. Comments about Burt's Bees Beeswax Lip Balm, 1 ea: I absolutely love this product! I was on a trip to D.C. in winter and my lips got very chapped and I forgot balm so I bought this. Now I can't use anything else! I have known some friends who had severely chapped lips and the mint tended to sting a little bit. There is also a honey balm that works really well and doesn't have the mint, but honestly the mint one is my favorite. Nothing else really seems to help my chapped lips :) Pros

Comments about Burt's Bees Beeswax Lip Balm, 1 ea: I was never one for using a lip balm, but a friend introduced me to this product, and now I'm addicted to it! I use it daily to help keep my lips moist and soft, and it works, using only natural ingredients . And it feels so good and lasts a long time before you need to re-apply. Comments about Burt's Bees Beeswax Lip Balm, 1 ea: I think Burts Bees lip balm is way overrated. One reviewer said they realized how much they love it because they were without it for a couple of days and their lips were parched, and they use it twice a day. That is because the beeswax is actually drying your lips rather than moisturizing them making you feel like you need to apply more. This is actually just a selling technique because you will run out fast from the drying effects of the balm. Sure, the minty fresh scent is great, and the first 5 minutes after applying it make your lips feel great, but in reality this is a drying lip balm and any lip balm that contains beeswax as one of their top ingredients are really drying out your lips. Trust me I am addicted to lip balm. Displaying reviews 181-190 ![]() |
