It has a nice cooling sensation when applied and it's like you can feel it hydrating your lips. I had terrible chapped lips last winter (I was in a new climate and my skin was not adapting well at all), and I was using chap stick, which was not cutting it. I found this in a 4 pack for $[$] (it came with a tin of this, a tube of this, the honey kind and another kind, but I don't remember which one) and all of them did a wonderful job at treating my painfully chapped lips. This along with Carmex, are my favorite lip products when I need something hydrating and soothing. It's very hard, which makes it long lasting & smash resistant, but not as moisturizing as softer lip balms. I recommend getting Dr. Bronner's Peppermint lip balm instead of this. Bronner's has organic ingredients, more hydration, and is about the same price as Burt's Bees. The peppermint flavor is milder, but if you have dry lips Bronner's is a more effective balm. I've been without it for a couple of days and my lips are already chapping. I put this lip balm on my lips twice a day in the morning and night. Yeah, it became part of my skin care regime. Anyway, applying for twice a day is enough to keep my lips moist always unlike other lip balms which you have to carry and apply all the time. Comments about Burt's Bees Beeswax Lip Balm, 1 ea: I give this 2 stars only because I appreciate the company and like many of their other products. I figure it will work for some folks but for me, the balm is too hard to get on and it clogs up the pores around my lips. It gave me a lot of whiteheads that were difficult to finally clear. I wish it had worked. Comments about Burt's Bees Beeswax Lip Balm, 1 ea: Best to use in the summer or just keep it in your pants pocket. Otherwise, it is difficult to smooth over your lips if it is too hard. Comments about Burt's Bees Beeswax Lip Balm, 1 ea: Only lip balm that works for me. And no oil/petroleum. Comments about Burt's Bees Beeswax Lip Balm, 1 ea: This is a good product. I like the minty smell and cooling effect it has, but the only problem I have with it is that it seems to make my lips shrivel up. I think it may be the peppermint oil, but I can't really be sure. A little strange. Comments about Burt's Bees Beeswax Lip Balm, 1 ea: Great product, great scent. Only giving 4 stars because it doesn't have SPF! Comments about Burt's Bees Beeswax Lip Balm, 1 ea: I love this lip balm. I received it as a gift a few years ago, and won't use anything else. It's perfect - not too creamy - and has a little peppermint tingle with every use. LOVE IT!! Comments about Burt's Bees Beeswax Lip Balm, 1 ea: I love this stuff. I've been using it for a couple of years now, and I won't use any other lip balm. Great moisturizing and protection, plus I like the cooling sensation and the minty-ness. Also, it doesn't bother my throat like so many other lip balms (am I weird or does anyone else have this problem?). I highly recommend this product! Comments about Burt's Bees Beeswax Lip Balm, 1 ea: Dont see what all the hype is about. It feels ok, but doesn't feel like it absorbs, and therefore doesn't last. I recommend the Aquaphor lip balm, even though it has a dumb, non-slanted applicator. Comments about Burt's Bees Beeswax Lip Balm, 1 ea: I am a chapstick queen! I have one in every room of my house, at work, in the car, in my bag, everywhere just in case because I need chapstick. It doesn't smell or taste like beeswax at all to me but everyone who is close when I put it on can smell the minty scent. I never wear lipstick now that I have found this! I just put a lipliner on and put this on and perfect, when I need a little color! Displaying reviews 191-200 |
