It has a nice cooling sensation when applied and it's like you can feel it hydrating your lips. I had terrible chapped lips last winter (I was in a new climate and my skin was not adapting well at all), and I was using chap stick, which was not cutting it. I found this in a 4 pack for $[$] (it came with a tin of this, a tube of this, the honey kind and another kind, but I don't remember which one) and all of them did a wonderful job at treating my painfully chapped lips. This along with Carmex, are my favorite lip products when I need something hydrating and soothing. It's very hard, which makes it long lasting & smash resistant, but not as moisturizing as softer lip balms. I recommend getting Dr. Bronner's Peppermint lip balm instead of this. Bronner's has organic ingredients, more hydration, and is about the same price as Burt's Bees. The peppermint flavor is milder, but if you have dry lips Bronner's is a more effective balm. To me it smells sickly sweet -- like something that's gone over in the fridge. Initially the texture was fine, but after a couple of weeks using the product, it started getting lumpy, and the lumps flaked off (and onto my lips, clothes, floor) as I continued to use it. I recommend the Burt's Bees lip shimmers over this. Their texture is much nicer, and they have a minty smell, not to mention that some of the colors are quite beautiful (in a retro sort of way). Comments about Burt's Bees Beeswax Lip Balm, 1 ea: I like the texture better than Chapstick, and would probably buy this again. I love that they don't test on animals, too. Comments about Burt's Bees Beeswax Lip Balm, 1 ea: The BEST! Feels fresh, too! Comments about Burt's Bees Beeswax Lip Balm, 1 ea: Ever since this stuff has come out, it's the only chapstick I see anyone use anymore, and with good reason. This stuff finally convinced me that chapstick actually does something, rather than just simulating a soft feel with oils, it actually heals your lips. Best stuff there is by far. Comments about Burt's Bees Beeswax Lip Balm, 1 ea: Like someone else said, this seemed to dry out my lips after a little bit. It did not last long at all. I did give it two stars for a nice texture and good minty flavor. I won't buy this again though, I will stick with KMF mint, much better in my opinion. Comments about Burt's Bees Beeswax Lip Balm, 1 ea: I'm very pleased with this wonderful product! It is an excellent lip moisturizer, and is long-lasting. The minty tingly menthol is refreshing. This product is immeasurably better than the honey version. Comments about Burt's Bees Beeswax Lip Balm, 1 ea: While I liked the cooling sensation, this lip balm seemed to actually dry my lips out more after wearing it for a short while. I threw it away after a few uses. Comments about Burt's Bees Beeswax Lip Balm, 1 ea: Good lip balm. Feels great on your lips, and it really nourishes them. Much better than the honey one! Comments about Burt's Bees Beeswax Lip Balm, 1 ea: Really good, refreshing feel as well. Comments about Burt's Bees Beeswax Lip Balm, 1 ea: Excellent balm. I swear I have one in every room. Very solid (not sticky), and seems to last forever. The menthol touch is nice, and cools the lips (great in the summer). If you like the menthol benefits, but feel this dries out your lips too fast in the winter - try Aveeno Medicated Lip Balm, it's like a cross between Burt's Bees and Carmex, and is also really nice.
