I used chapstick brand for years, but I just can't take the constant drying and bad tastes anymore. I got this and it is AMAZING! It tastes herbal and yummy and pomegranate is really good for you. I do have a few problems with it though-- it's moisturizing but didn't really "heal" the chappedness I've had recently from not using chapstick as often. Also, it aggravated my throat, which was kind of disappointing. It's a little pricey by my standards, but I love that it's natural and cruelty free. I'll probably try something with less scent next time and see if that helps, but overall I really, really LOVE this stuff. Buy it! I have all the different kinds including honey, and sun balms, this one is my fave next to the honey one. My prob seems to relate to others in the fact that it does not last long at all. All organic/natural products do that. There is only the slightest tint if I apply 20 layers on, so I was a tad disappointed of that. Maybe it's not supposed to- anyway, overall I like the texture, smell, and taste but I have to apply it too often. Not waxy, not too slippery, no overwhelming smell, just perfect. I use it all the time. It's great as a lipstick base or when Im going au natural because it has a slight rose tint. Love it! The others only temporarily relieve my chapped lips and I have to reapply often. This one actually relieves them for a long time. The only reason I keep reapplying is because of the scent and slight pinkish tint. Very flattering. I was a little hesitant to purchase it after using both the original peppermint and the honey, because both of those tended to "chunk and gunk" as I like to refer to lip balms that dry out over time. I can wear the Pomegranate flavor for awhile, and while it doesn't last all day, it goes on smooth and it comes off smooth on its own, allowing me to simply pull it out again and reapply rather than having to potentially look for something to wipe the previous application off. The pomegranate scent in my opinion kind of reminds me of lighter scented fruit roll-up, but once it's on, you don't really notice it, and it goes on VERY CLEAN!! I didn't give it five stars because it isn't the greatest moisturizer; it acts more as a protective barrier. This one is much better, it doesn't contain peppermint, and all the essential oils are really soothing and moisturizing. The natural pomegranate scent is pleasant, and I like that it leaves a slight pink tint. This is the balm that's always in my pocket/purse. It's much smoother and doesn't do that tingly thing. It's very shiny and there's a very tiny hint of color, so guys might not like it. I took off one star for the scent, though. It has a slight pomegranate scent to it which is really nice. It goes on smoothly, and in my opinion, leaves a little color behind. It looks really great, and unlike the Beeswax Lip Balm, it makes the area around my mouth less oily feeling. I like the scent, and it seems to stay on longer and make my lips softer than the original (which I also love).
