I started using this cream when I was getting radiation and they recommended using very heavy, oily skin creams. I did use those immediately following but the rest of the day I used this Burts product as it advertises for after burns. The ingredients seem to nourish and heal my skin- I never got very red and the techs said my skin looked great. Now I use it especially in summer and any red spots that flare up heal if I stick with this cream. Yes, it is a little runny but then it goes on easy without using a lot, absorbs well, smells nice and seems to nourish the skin.

I went on vacation and got a mild sunburn and I used this cream several times a day and I did not peel at all. I absolutely love it. With most other after-sun lotions I will still peel, but not this one. I am somewhat fair skinned, so I get red first and then get a tan. This product really help so I don't peel at all. Love it!!!!

As a "after sunburn product", if you are in pain because of the sunburn, this wont help that quickly. But if your skin is just red from the sun, it will reduce the redness quickly. However, I have found this to be a perfect day time or night time moisturizer. It's very light, not hard to rub in, a little goes a long way and the bottle is huge, and its all natural so I am not putting any chemicals on my skin. I have super dewy, moisturized skin all day and throughout the night ever since I started using this product. It has been a saver throughout the cold that we have been getting and I will continue to use it throughout the winter. For those with sensitive skin, it can be used as a shaving cream as well. I have never found a product that was this good and had this many uses. You wont be disappointed!

I did love the scent, but was pretty unimpressed by the wateriness. Admittedly, at the height of my sunburn pain, it was probably better that this lotion was so watery and not so thick that I had to drag it across my skin. But it appears to me more water than moisturizer, and when you're trying to reduce peeling, you want some moisturizer too! Still, the aloe felt good, as did using a product with natural ingredients.

I love this all year...it is great after shaving my legs, and reminds me of summer during the long, dark winter months. It works well as aftersun, too, just like advertised. It's not a heavy moisturizer, so my hands needs something a little thicker, but I love it for arms and legs. Highly recommended for light moisturizing all year and burned summer skin.

I have sensitive skin and this is a nice, long lasting moisturizer for me. I like the smooth feeling it gives my skin and that it isn't flowery or fruity. My husband likes the scent, kind of a clean, soap smell so he will use too. He just returned from a dive trip and he needs it.

I don't know how it works so well, but man am I glad I found this stuff! My son and I both burn badly, very easily. This lotion soothes immediately and reduces the redness fairly quickly. It also either prevents peeling or greatly lessens the duration. I am always sure to have some in the house! We've been using it for over a year now, so it's not a fluke - this stuff truly works. I gave it only four stars because I'm not too fond of the smell (it doesn't smell bad though), but I am very particular about fragrances and it works well enough that the smell would not deter me from using it.

Got a bad sunburn over the weekend and had left this at home (was on vacation). Came home today and was cooled and calmed immediately upon it going on my skin. Pleasant scent too!

I really like the light, clean, fresh scent. I bought this for my trip to the Dominican Republic. i used it every day I was there and my pale Irish skin, although slightly burned, didn't peel. Even after i got home I kept using it to prevent that after sun dryness. My skin stayed looking great instead of flaky and gross. I'm taking one star away because it was slightly sticky. I have thrown away that nasty aloe gel, because I have found my new favorite afer sun soother. It really was a treat for my skin.
