We camp a lot, and Im not a fan of all the chemicals in regular bug sprays. Ive been using this when we're in the woods for about a year and I really like it. I'll definitely keep using it until I find a bug that it doesn't repel.

I'm from south Louisiana where the mosquitoes are huge and vicious. I've tried just about every repellant out there, but this stuff here hands down beats them all! I went down to one of my fishing spots and when I pulled up the mosquitoes looked like a dark cloud. They literally attacked my truck bouncing off the windshield. Most people would have left right away. I sprayed on the Burt Bee's and got out my truck. As I walked through the cloud of them, it was like I had a 3 foot force field around me. They didn't touch me all day! Needless to say if it will keep mosquitoes away down here, it'll work anywhere!

Family of 4 went camping in Pinnacles National Monument and it was BUGGY! But even though my wife is a pin cushion for mosquitoes she and the boys got out with only 1 or 2 bites over 3 full days. The stuff has a strong smell and you probably have to re-apply a little more often than DEET but that is a small price to pay for natural and effective.

This is good smelling bug spray-- very lemony and all natural. The thig is, being all natural, it's made of about 8 different oils-- and they're very greasy. It seems to soften the skin, but I feel oily after I use it. Good natural alternative though, especially when you don't want to smell like OFF.

Another great product from Burt's Bees. Can't say enough about the quality of this product. I highly recomend.

As a fan of other Burt's Bees products, I was really looking forward to this spray! I'm sorry to say I was underwhelmed by the whole experience. First off, it IS greasy, oily, and heavy. It will stain your clothing, so be VERY careful when applying. Fortunately I had an old t-shirt on, so the staining didn't matter. Even with a vigorous rubbing, the spray took an annoyingly long time to "soak in."

The lemongrass scent is VERY strong-in fact, it's all I could smell. I am *not* a lemongrass fan, so this was a huge negative for me. I would have preferred the scent being toned down, a lot. In fact, it was so strong that I was a little queasy in the house, and had to go outside to let the scent dissipate. Hours later, friends could still smell it on me. It definitely lingers!

That said, I did make it through the day & night with only a couple of bites on my arm (maybe a spot that rubbed off?), but, being pretty early in the season, I can't tell if it was because of the spray, or a low mosquito population.

Since I paid for a whole bottle, I'll use it when there's ample breeze. Otherwise, not something I'd buy again.

As far as insect repellent goes this smells good. It is not an offensive odor like many. I don't feel like I am putting something bad on my skin either. It has worked so far.
