Even those pesky flies that like to land on dogs and people. I put a little around my dogs heads before we go out, and they are also fly-free! It's totally natural - no chemicals - smells great AND is most effective. Same thing in the garden - I don't worry much about ticks - put it on my shoes and ankles when I am digging in the garden, or raking leaves in the fall. Don't just buy it for yourself - get some for your children and grandchildren - it's wonderful stuff! I also use it on my kids and myself when I got out to do my gardening. I love the smell. However, when I went online to order several more bottles what I received was the green label Herbal Insect Repellant. The difference in ingredients is very small, but the scent of the product changes quite a bit. The yellow label includes Wintergreen oil that really makes the scent refreshing, almost lovely. I recently had a friend come over with her daughter and both commented on how good my house smelled. I had just rubbed the yellow label repellent on the dog's bed. My mother wants to buy some to use as an occasional air freshener in her home. Had I received more of the yellow label repellent (as is pictured on the website) I would have given this product a 5 STAR Rating. Ive been using this when we're in the woods for about a year and I really like it. I'll definitely keep using it until I find a bug that it doesn't repel. Pros

I've tried just about every repellant out there, but this stuff here hands down beats them all! I went down to one of my fishing spots and when I pulled up the mosquitoes looked like a dark cloud. They literally attacked my truck bouncing off the windshield. Most people would have left right away. I sprayed on the Burt Bee's and got out my truck. As I walked through the cloud of them, it was like I had a 3 foot force field around me. They didn't touch me all day! Needless to say if it will keep mosquitoes away down here, it'll work anywhere! But even though my wife is a pin cushion for mosquitoes she and the boys got out with only 1 or 2 bites over 3 full days. The stuff has a strong smell and you probably have to re-apply a little more often than DEET but that is a small price to pay for natural and effective. Pros

The thig is, being all natural, it's made of about 8 different oils-- and they're very greasy. It seems to soften the skin, but I feel oily after I use it. I'm sorry to say I was underwhelmed by the whole experience. First off, it IS greasy, oily, and heavy. It will stain your clothing, so be VERY careful when applying. Fortunately I had an old t-shirt on, so the staining didn't matter. Even with a vigorous rubbing, the spray took an annoyingly long time to "soak in." Pros
