Maybe people aren't getting an accurate representation of this cream. Check the date on bottle. The year is the middle digits in the code stamped on the bottom. BB says that their products are good for 2 yrs.. I have had older bottles that I actually bought on the shelves from stores and they smelt rancid and they will go on very sticky/tachy feeling. So if anyone is having a bad experience, check out the date. I got a fresh bottle and it is great smelling and goes on creamy. My skin is so dry that it soaks in very quickly and will not be greasy. Maybe one should use less in the daytime--a little goes a long way. In the night I use more with gloves or socks on. Ladies, get wise and check the date. You realize, this product has natural perseratives, so it won't last as long as synthetics. But, that's why we like it because it is so natural. Also, be careful of kits. They have different dates inside and you might be getting some older product and you will get a false representation again. I was going to order some BBproducts here so I hope that Drugstore.com is giving out fresh products. I know my last order of different products here were very fresh, with great dates, so I am hopeful! I hope this helps some, and enjoy your Burts Bees--I do!

My first foray into the Burt's Bees line of products was their Lemon Butter Cuticle Creme, which is fabulous! Therefore, I was sorely disappointed with this Almond Milk Beeswax Hand Creme. Not only is the name ridiculously long, but the product itself is ridiculously ineffective.

The consistency is definitely too heavy for daytime use. I tried using the creme at night before bed, but it would never absorb; it just sat greasily on my skin and did not provide any moisturization.

My next step was trying it as a foot creme, at night, with cotton socks. I was hoping in vain that keeping my feet covered would magically make the creme more effective than it had been on my hands. Wrong! If anything, my feet were DRIER in the morning. Unbelievable.

Well, that was my last-ditch effort in finding a practical use for this glorified lard. Rather than tossing it in the garbage and wasting it completely, I'll probably bring it into work and leave it in the ladies' room; even though it has been used, I'm sure some orphany wretch will snatch it up for the brand name alone.

Comments about Burt's Bees Almond Milk Beeswax Hand Creme, 2 oz:

I use this product year round at bedtime. The last thing I do is apply this creme to my hands sitting on the bed. My hands used to split and crack all winter. Now with the use of this product.......no more splitting or cracking.

Comments about Burt's Bees Almond Milk Beeswax Hand Creme, 2 oz:

I love this product. Especially the subtle almond scent. I was so disappointed when my favorite hand creme was discontinued until I discovered this. It's a bit denser, thicker and greasier than my previous hand creme. You only need to use a little. I find I also need to blot my hands with a paper towel in the daytime (not an issue if you use at night time/wear cotton gloves). Also great for elbows, feet and heels. Perfect for your skin during a harsh Winter like this or if you garden. It's so good my boyfriend took it!

This works well, it's not terribly greasy but takes time to absorb. The problem is the smell. At first it smells like Jergens but quickly turns to something else. The smell lasts maybe 10 minutes.

I apply this product to hands at bedtime each day. Rub it in good. Product does not stain bedding or clothing in spite of the fact that it is of course greasy.
Iam 76 years old and work outside in winter months and this is the first year ever, here in New Hampshire that my hands are crack free. I love this product!!

Comments about Burt's Bees Almond Milk Beeswax Hand Creme, 2 oz:

This has been my favorite and necessary hand cream for a few years already, but when I had initially gotten it, as happened to me with a couple other Burt's Bees products as well, it seemed overbearing, when I really just wasn't need of this type of product at the time but later was. At first, when I was probably still in law school, I was waking up with my hands still sticky from it, at least in the creases; but I finally realized that sleeping 4-5 hours a night like I was was simply not enough time for it to soak in well. I put it away for a while, and when I was sleeping another couple of hours a night, I started using it again, and absolutely love it. The smell of almonds is very strong, but I love the smell, even when I curl my hands up near my face to go to sleep.

I've lately started making my own body butter since Burt's Bees no longer offers my favorite kind, and while this has been wonderful for my legs etc., it hasn't been rich enough for my hands, so I've still been using this Almond Hand Creme for my hands. My only desire is that it was a small enough producer so that it was fresh-made and did not need the preservatives and stabilizers, even if natural; so I may stil try to make my own version, with beeswax added to the cocoa and shea butters and oils I've been making body butter with, to see if a homemade creme can compete with this one.

as far as I'm concerned this is the only night time hand cream. My hands get really dry and chapped, and this is the only product that leaves them soft and smooth in the morning. It also smells like heaven. Its pretty intense hydration, I still prefer the old formula they made with kaolin clay that was even heavier. I tend to use a light lotion for daytime, but for nights, this is the only thing that works.

I found this hand cream too heavy and not suitable for a fruquent use. I have extremely dry hands and wear hand cream all the time so I need something lighter and quick absorbent. This hand cream is very moisturizing but too thick and greasy. It's great for a nighttime care with cotton gloves, though. The almond scent is nice but a little strong.

Comments about Burt's Bees Almond Milk Beeswax Hand Creme, 2 oz:

Have you ever noticed that about five-ten minutes after you put lotion on your hands, they seem to be dry again? I only recently discovered that this is because one of the ingredients in almost all hand lotions is alcohol which, of course, dries out your skin. Out of curiosity, I checked my three favorite hand lotions (my skin gets quite dry in the winter, as I live in Maine), from budget Neutrogena Norwegian Formula, to the middle-priced Burt's Bees, to the much more expensive Philosophy Hope in a Tube; the only one that doesn't have alcohol as an ingredient is Burt's Bees.

While I certainly can find the super thick consistency annoying. I've gotten used to it, and it definitely does a lot more permanent repair for my hands.
