I tried this product as both a pre-shampoo treatment and also as a leave-in/styling aid. LOVE it as a pre-shampoo treatment! The required time is a little long, but I just wet my hair with a spray bottle, comb it through (you don't need a ton), and go make coffee, eat breakfast, etc., so it's ready by the time I'm ready to take a shower. Makes my hair super-soft and shiny! And the smell is FANASTIC.

I'm still trying to find the right amount/technique as a styling aid, though...my hair is wavy, fine in texture but I have a TON of it, so as a leave-in this product does help a lot with the manageability but it also weighs my hair down if I use too much. I think I've finally found a good method where I use about the size of a dime and mix it with a few drops of water to thin it out, and then scrunch it through my hair and either air or blow dry -- helps define my waves without too much weight, and is especially good to control humidity! Still on the fence, though, for my hair type...might just stick with it as a fantastic pre-shampoo treatment. But I can definitely see how this would be a GREAT leave-in/styling aid for someone with coarser or super-curly hair!

Overall, highly recommended! I'm noticing that I'm shifting a lot of my products over to Burt's Bees, and loving the results.

Just used this product today for the first time in years, it was too greasy for my non-color treated hair or I misread the directions but today my hair look fabulous, shiny, healthy, and soft.

I apply a small amount of this product working it into my hair a few minutes before I shampoo. I use this product about once every week or ten days.

It adds vibrance and luster and health to my hair. I really like this product. I have used it for several years and have not purchased any other product.

I have no complaints and would recommend it to others.

I like Burt's bees products except for this one. The smell is just too unpleasant to deal with. I try to use natural products as much as possible, but at the same time I want my shower time to be relaxing. This smell ruins it.

Loved it! When it first came out of the tube i was a little skeptical because it reminded me of mashed wheat grass, but i used the suggested amount (1tablespoon) on my thick (3c/4a) wet (spray bottle) Hair and it got the job done. Before i even finished detangeling with the product in my hair, it was re-defining my curl patters and looked beautiful. After co-washing my hair i could see a difference in shine frizz and texture, and i like the smell, very subtle. i finished off my rutien with TIGI Love, Peace & The Planet Let It Be Leave-In Conditioner. Bother are most defiantly keepers for MY hair.

This hair mask really adds a lot of shine to my hair, which is impressive. A lot of masks moisturize, but leave my hair looking dull. Not so with this one. It can be a little hard to spread, since it's so thick and comes before shampooing, but the results are worth it. I have yet to find a hair mask that conditions more deeply than this.

I use this daily as a mousse and this product is the best I have ever used. It keeps my hair healthy and shinny.

I read somewhere that since it was meant as a treatment that if you slather it on, cover it up and then do something outside such as gardening, cleaning, running, etc. The heat and sweat can really activate it.

Green Goo is the only way to describe this product. It makes your hair very soft, but it smells digusting and it's hard to get out of the tube. I use this on my hair and hair extensions every couple of weeks. My hair and the human extension are very easy to comb out. I am satisfied with the soft, silky results. This is getting very expensive for the amount of goo you receive...

I am African American with relaxed hair, and I have been using conditioner before shampooing my hair for years. This product is the best I've ever used! I apply a little oil to my hair before applying the Burt's Bees to make the application process easier. I keep it on 20 minutes or longer and then shampoo. My hair is shiny, manageable, and extremely moist. It has really helped my dry hair during the cold winter months. I will continue to use this on a weekly basis.
