This would probably work best for thick and/or curly hair. I haven't tried it as a pomade, but I will not be purchasing this again. First of all it's really thick, not unexpected for a mask, but doesn't exactly spread well even with a comb. The directions state to comb the product through and allow it to set for 15 min. I did this and then shampooed and conditioned as normal. I was expecting my hair to be super soft like other masks I've used and I honestly only saw a little improvement. A little less frizz and a little softer, but nothing more than that. I have some chlorine damage but nothing extreme, I don't even use heat in my hair, so this was a huge let down for me. Pros

I keep changing them from time to time, but this is an item I always return to. The usage is super simple---apply before washing your hire. Then you can just use shampoo rather than shampoo & conditioner. so it saves you time. The effect is great: smooths your hair and adds shine. I only have one complaint. It uses too quickly. I have long straight hair. I feel one tube can be used less than ten times. But given its cost and its effect, I still consider it a good buy.

It didn't work so well for me as a preshampoo since my hair is very think. I highlight my hair and it gets very dry and damaged. I started using this product on my hair after I towel dry it and scrunch it a bit and my hair looks like I have beautiful beach waves when dry. It has also made my hair super healthy!

LOVE it as a pre-shampoo treatment! The required time is a little long, but I just wet my hair with a spray bottle, comb it through (you don't need a ton), and go make coffee, eat breakfast, etc., so it's ready by the time I'm ready to take a shower. Makes my hair super-soft and shiny! And the smell is FANASTIC.

I try to use natural products as much as possible, but at the same time I want my shower time to be relaxing. This smell ruins it.
