I don't like using regular shampoos in the bath. pH issues aside, most shampoos have smoothing ingredients like silicone that don't wash off easily in bath water. When I need my hair to conform to a particular style, I use the new high-tech shampoos in the shower, but sometimes I just want to take a hot bath and get natural-looking clean hair.
Baby shampoos are intended to be rinsed out in bath water, and most of them do rinse out cleaner than a silicone-heavy shampoo. Burt's Bees rinses out beautifully, leaving behind shiny, squeaky clean hair with a just a hint of vanilla-sweet fragrance.
I am pleased with this product and will most likely be purchasing it again.

I absolutely loved this product - great scent, cleans very well, and is natural and gentle for my baby. Then we had some problems with reccurrent yeast infection on my baby's bottom (which is actually quite common in babies). Looked at the ingredients list of this product, and to my horror - sugar! Guess what - sugar feeds yeast and promotes the problem. SO bummed that we can't use this product anymore... Very disappointed. Please be warned not to use this product if your baby gets yeast infection.
This product smells great, is gentle, and I can use the same thing for body and hair, which is convenient. I've used it on my son since he was born, and he's 4 1/2 now and I still use it. I don't see switching to anything else.
I love the scent of this baby wash, it lasts a long time and the oil that BBs carries for babies has the same scent. My children do not have sensitive skin, however my good friend's infant does and so does she. This baby wash does not irritate either of their skin, nor does the oil. I love how yummy they smell after bath and use it on my 4 year old as well.
I currently use all the Burt's Bees skin care products for my face and LOVE them. I color my hair and exercise a lot so I was looking for a gengle shampoo that I could use more frequently, and that would not fade out my hair color. However, I was surprised that this shampoo was more harsh than expected. It left a residue on my hair and very tangled after use so that I was forced to use a conditioner afterward. I have returned to my previous shampoo and will use this product up as a body wash, but will not purchase it again.
i'm sure this is a perfectly good product for many, but for me it triggered the worst eczema breakout in at least 10 years, certainly one of the two worst in my life. finally had to go on prednizone because even my strongest topical steroid creams were ineffective. please avoid if you or your children have eczema. took me weeks to identify the cause.
Create lather with warm wash cloth or hands and gently wash baby's body. Rinse off, then lather up hair and scalp, gently rubbing. Rinse thoroughly and follow up with Burt's Bees Baby Bee Buttermilk Lotion.
