However, please keep in mind that is the titanium dioxide in the lip balm that protects your lips! Without this, there would be no sun protection! We live on the gulf coast and we use tubes and tubes of this lip balm every year when offshore fishing, a day at the beach, pool, etc. This stuff will REALLY protect your lips because it stays on (and doesn't tast bad). If you really don't like the color add something on top of this. However, for me a little bit of white color is worth not sunburning our lips or getting skin cancer!!! For as long as I can remember, we've the cheapest SPF stuff on the shelf 'cause that's what our parents used. Since the little one had to use this for her frequently chapped lips and I started having reactions to the other stuff, my family switched to all Burt's Bees. Love it!
