I have sensitive skin and light rosacea. In looking around for something...anything...that might help with redness I came across this. After washing with this, my skin feels wonderfully smooth and balanced. My face has not felt this good in years! My redness and uneven skin texture is very diminished. I use it only every other day or so alternating with Burt's Bees Orange Essence facial cleanser, which is also lovely. I guess the texture and scent might not be for everyone. I like the scent--it reminds me of ginger cookies. The dry texture makes it a bit of an effort to use, but I think it's definitely worth it. Burt's Bees has won a life long customer for this product!

I use this product every day and cannot imagine using anything else. I have dry skin and appreciate the gentle exfoliant. However, the honey notes in this scrub leave my skin silky and moisturized. I have hooked friends on this after they tried mine. It's a fantastic product, and gentle enough for every day use instead of a scrub or other cleanser.

I'm a big fan of Kandee Johnson. Most of the products she mentions I have tried and she's spot on. I'm a beauty junkie that could put a sephora store to shame, ha ha. She mentioned that this is gentle enough for daily use and very effective at exfoliating without abrading or stripping the skin. She's so right! A little goes a long way. If you get little congested spots or bumps on your skin, you NEED to try this. Don't let the texture freak you out. The autumn harvesty scent is an added bonus. I stock up on this and will continue to do so as long as it is available.

I have been using this Citrus Scrub for 12 years now since my college friend gave/introduced it to me as a birthday gift in 2000, and it's been my all time favorite product. When it comes to exfoliating skin and leaves skin naturally beautiful, nothing beats this. This product is, by far, way superior to other brand-name products. It doesn't make your skin wrinkle or look old after using it for two weeks like other famous brands that have so much chemicals in them. I used it every other day when I lived in Ohio, and now I've lived in a dry climate, Colorado, for two years, I've only used it once a week in summer and twice a month in winter, because it leaves my skin nice and smooth for a long time. I have a very sensitive-acne-prone skin, and this Citrus Scrub doesn't irritate my skin as long as my face is cleansed before using it. One jar lasts me forever. I absolutely love Burt's Bees Citrus Facial Scrub.

This product is so amazing. My skin type is dry and acne prone. I was told (after many dermatology appointments and expensive skin treatments) by an esthetician (thank god for her) that my skin is so dry that my skin is clogging its pore with my dry skin and that I must exfoliate every day to help open my pores to allow for acne treatments to penetrate, as well as lotions. Well that was a year and a half ago. I stayed with her and did microdermabrasion and chemical peels to get through the layers of dry skin. I have been battling acne since I started college at 18, I just turned 27 and since using this product I don't even use acne treatment products. I have spent thousands of dollars, as well as my parents on clearing up my skin. I was even on accurate a few years back. This product has moisturizing qualities, so moisturizing that sometimes I don't use lotion afterward, which is huge for me considering how dry I am.
My routine is to remove my face make up and eye make up with extra virigin olive oil. I rub that all over for a minute or so until my face looks like a hot mess. Then remove that oil with a hot wash cloth. I get fingers wet and scoop out a small chunk of the Burt's and apply it to my face which is hardly damp but a tad, tad, oily. I rub pretty vigoursly, but that's the joy of this stuff, the more water you have on your face or hands, the less exfoliating the product will be and vice versa. Now with the EVOO, like dissolves like. My face is not greasy but make up generally is so it takes it right off. And EVOO is even better for people WITH oily skin for that same reason.
For people who say its messy, I don't have that problem with the way I use it. It takes off any excess make up but I wouldn't use it as a make up remover. I use it to clean and exfoliate my skin.
I was shown this product about a year ago but was sick of trying new products and since this didn't cater to acne prone skin or contain 900 harsh chemicals that make my face fall off I wasn't interested. I then decided to give it a shot since I love most other Burt's products and noticed that it wasn't ever on the shelves long and since there was one left one day, I bought it. Since then, I have told two other friends. The one has been doing the EVOO and scrub trick. She has already had beautiful skin but she is crazy about it. She said her skin as never felt so good. I actually just ordered her two jars because she can't find it anywhere. And my other girlfriend has been trying to find it as well since she struggles with oil and acne.
I moved a month ago to an extremely dry location and my skin has been completely under control. I also had a baby 7 weeks ago and with all the pregnancy hormones for 9 months as well as the hormonal changes after giving birth, my skin is better than ever. I swear by this product. Corny as it may be, it has changed my life.

As the other reviewers said, yes, this product is messy. However, it is by far the best facial scrub I have ever used. I have oily/combination skin, and this product just makes my skin so soft and cleans it so nicely. It does a great job balancing my skin and it gives a smooth, soft texture - lovely! The smell is, as expected, neutral. It doesn't smell girly or manly, it's somewhere in between.

After a few uses, you'll get the hang of how much water to mix it with, and it won't be as messy, so don't let that stop you from trying it!

I was disappointed. Firstly it is not that easy to use. It is very thick and difficult to distribute evenly over one's face, therefore making it difficult to do what it is supposed to do, which is to even out and exfoliate one's skin. Also it is expensive for what it is as the container is very small. I would not buy this product again and will stick to other exfoliators out there.

I absolutely LOVE this. I bought it and the first time I used it I fell in love. You have to know how to use it. I see people are complaining about the texture. You have to add a couple drops of water or what I do is wet my face really well and you just have to work it in. The smell is amazing....it smells like nutmeg so the ones that say ""smells bad" must not like nutmeg lol. I am glad I had this recommended to me.

This product exfoliates mildly, but tends to leave a sort of oily film after it's been washed away. This could be perfect for someone who is looking for a gentle scrub that really moisturizes, but if you have oily skin like I do, it just feels greasy. You could use this scrub, but it almost certainly requires a toner after it in order to remove any residue.
