Comments about Burt's Bees Lip Shimmer, Plum, .09 oz:

I have been searching for years to find an "all natural" lip tint to replace my all-time favorite Clinique Almost Lipstick in Black Honey-- and Burt's Bees finally captured it with its Lip Shimmer in Plum. It is a universally flattering shade, a sparkly "my lips but better" shade that fades and blends well with your natural lip color throughout the day. Unfortunately, I just learned that Burt's Bees lip shimmers also contain trace amounts of lead. Since no amount of lead is safe, I am inclined to toss it out or only wear it on special occasions (which sort of defeats the purpose since this is a lovely everyday shade). I am so disappointed but am hoping that Burt's Bees will look for safe alternatives to its ingredients and eventually offer a lead-free lip tint. My search continues, I guess.
