VS Most Liked Negative Review Better than average, but not my favorite In general, I like this stuff; the shimmer is fine, the rhubarb color is pretty, if just a little bit cool for me (neutral-toned very fair skin, blue eyes, cool light brown...Read complete review In general, I like this stuff; the shimmer is fine, the rhubarb color is pretty, if just a little bit cool for me (neutral-toned very fair skin, blue eyes, cool light brown hair--it would probably be perfect on warm-toned medium/dark skin); the color intensity is right for my everyday look, which is a classic polished look (black lashes, dark eyeliner, pink cheeks, defined lips), not the natural look--this color is not for a fair-skinned girl going nearly-barefaced. That said: While the smell/flavor is nice, peppermint oil is very drying, and I do find that the gloss gets clumpy around the edges; reapplications do not go on smoothly, you must take the gloss off and reapply to get the original look, which further dries your lips. This is a product that I would use occasionally, but not the one that goes with me all the time. CG Lipslicks in Daring is a similar color, a little deeper, a little warmer, a little sheerer, with a much-preferable texture, and that's what I recommend. It's perfectly small for a pocket, it does not require a mirror, it lasts a long time. If it wears off, it's simple to reapply. It has a lovely natural look, feels great, and is just simple to use. I bought a handful of them because I forget that I leave them in pockets and here's the bonus: It goes through the wash cycle just fine. :)) Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Was this review helpful? I used BB for years but never knew the peppermint oil was chapping my lips. Although BB smells great, my lips end up with chunks of stained skin on them. Ew. Try the CG product - much better!! The color provides a natural gloss while having the benefit of a soothing chap stick as well. It lasts longer than most lip glosses so doesn't require constant reapplication.
