The color works for me because I am very very fair with a "cool" complexion (no golden/warm undertones). The minty tingle is wonderful but no overpowering. The feel is smooth and not sticky at all. It has a light shimmer but not too much.I recommend to those with same complexion- but if you are not- don't try this (it will appear too pink on you) but try say fig or some of the other colors they haveit didn't appear too pink on me at all. Nowhere on the display or the product did it mention that it had a mint taste, which really turned me off the first time I put it on. Also, they described it as a lip tint which usually would mean just a touch of color, like in a gloss. It looked as if I put on lipstick; the color is dark & thick, not at all like a chapstick or a gloss. Unlike a chapstick or gloss you really need a mirror to apply because the color is so strong. Comments about Burt's Bees Lip Shimmer, Watermelon, .1 oz: I like Burt's Bees lip balms very much. However, the Lip Shimmer sticks break very easily. The lip stick is too narrow and maybe too soft. It breaks while applying with light pressure, falls on clothing, etc. It is unfortunate because the pink colors are pale and the flavor is a light mint. I certainly would not recommend it for the evening if you want a dramatic look. It does wear off easily. I love the fact it is 100% natural! I am going to give it more time before I make a final decision about buying it again.

Wouldn't recommend it if you want the effects of a great balm, but would stick to the regular Burt's balm. The hint of color is very subtle, doesn't really show much. If you are looking for a darker moisturizing lip color, this is not for you. If you are looking for a lightweight, very lightly-tinted moisturizer, this is for you; could even be used by a man because the color is so subtle. But I really like it, and for a quick fix, this is like putting on chapstick with color instead of pulling out my lip gloss with an applicator wand. Quick, easy, and love the watermelon color.
