This is a fine texture, similar to other good body butters, but the smell is awful. I couldn't use it and am really glad I tried it before giving it as a gift as I was planning. It is "unscented" but I found it to have a strong smell.

I used this while i was pregnant, but had a lot left over. My sister and I started using it on her 4 year old's chapped face and lips and my son's teething rash around his chin and cheeks. It works so well and the kids don't mind it. They hate other ointments and vaseline when we try those. This is so smooth.

I used this cream in the morning and before I went to bed every night and did not get one stretch mark during my pregnancy. Will definitely buy this for the next one!

I used this cream throughout my first pregnancy and loved it--got zero stretch marks. Now, 2 years later, I bought the product again and am so disappointed with the "new & improved" cream! It used to be this thick cream that kept your belly feeling moisturized around the clock, it was amazing!! But the new version feels more like a cheap hand cream and the smell reminds me of a self-tanner. I won't even finish the tub, it's seriously that bad. Straight in the trashcan.

Having liked other Burt's Bees products I tried in the past, and read positive reviews for this one on other sites, I bought this belly butter when I was about 19 weeks pregnant. I'm now 31 weeks along, and very happy I gave this a try. I have done enough research to know most mainstream products have parabens, phthalates and other questionable chemicals I want to avoid, so I this fits my needs perfectly. Hydrates all day, non-greasy. I apply after every shower and that's all it takes. So far, I have no stretch marks. Although most doctors say whether or not you develop them depends more on genetics than any cream or other product you use, I figure it can't hurt, and this absolutely prevents the itchiness I was getting before I started using it.

This belly butter is a life saver! I live in the desert and the air is really dry. When I first started to show at 3 months, my skin became so itchy and flaky...totally uncomfortable. I tried almost every cream, belly butter, and oil I could find and this one was the first one that helped me! I only have to apply it in the morning and if I feel like it, at night. With all the other creams, I was running to the bathroom 3 or 4 times a day with horrible itchiness! So relived to have found this. I'm 6 1/2 months and so far have no stretch marks or tightness. With my first pregnancy I used some other expensive cream and have lots of marks on my belly...but I rememeber my skin feeling like it was going to explode! This time skin feels very elastic and smooth. Oh, also, the other review mentioned that this one was not as good as the old Burt's Bees Belly butter...I can't imagine it getting any better...I love this stuff.

I had used two tubs of this belly butter that a friend of mine gave to me as soon as I found out I was pregnate and loved it! So when I found it here I didn't hesitate to order some more. However...there was no mention of the fact that this is the "new and improoved" formula. Basically what they did was watter it down like any plain body butter. What I loved so much about the original was how wonderfully thick and firm it was. So much so that I had to rub it between my palms to sort of melt it before I could apply it to my belly. Not the case with the new stuff, it's just not up to par for me, especially when you consider the price! I did also order the Burt's Bees Mama Bee Body Oil and it's great! My suggestion would be order the oil and just find another not so expensive belly butter.
