This lotion is a great part of an anti-acne routine. I apply it everytime I wash my face or get out of the shower. My skin gets very dry from washing or from the hot water in the shower - this lotion hydrates while at the same time preventing breakouts.

One reviewer mentioned that it was greasy. I totally disagree! This is one of the lightest lotions I have every used. You only need to use a tiny squirt and it will cover your whole face. Now, if you use too much it probably will seem greasy and won't rub in. It is meant to be effective in small amounts, so perhaps that reviewer used too much.

On a side note, the fact that you only need to use a lot is great because it lasts longer. I use it at least once a day, ocassionally twice and I have to replace it about every 2 months.

I have tried lots of products for my Adult Acne and have found this product to work the best! Of course, acne doesnt go away entirely, its a hormone thing! However, the Salicylic Acid is the active ingredient which has controlled the amount of breakouts I was having as well as shrink large pores. AND, the best part...its all natural. Knowing I have found something to control my breakouts without the "chemicals" in other products is a great feeling. When using products with Salicylic Acid ,you need to make sure it is added to your moisturizer not face wash as it needs to soak into your skin to work. It does leave my skin feeling dry at times so after 20 mins (amount of time to have the product soak into my skin) I put on a natural moisturizer with SPF in the day and night time moisturizer at night.

I was horribly saddened by this product. I'm a big fan of a few of Burts Bees other Acne products and this one let me down. The lotion is very heavy and greasy feeling and I swear it clogged my pores. I had noticeably more acne when wearin this product than not. Definitely not a good buy

This lotion works very well with the rest of the regimen from BB's. I haven't used it alone, so I can't comment on that. I have relatively oily skin and like that the lotion is pretty lightweight and doesn't make my skin feel greasy, yet it doesn't dry my skin out either. Most of all, I appreciate having a product that does what it says it will, and doesn't contain a bunch of synthetic hormones (BHT, parabens) which can worsen acne and also make my endometriosis worse.

I have slight acne, struggled for years, and while it hasn't gone away completely I have noticed a difference while using this and the other products in the burt's bee's acne line. Now I can't imagine not using it! After trying soo many products, this is what I am sticking with for now.

This lotion feels strange on my face. It's kind of greasy, and has a little bit of a weird scent. I will not be purchasing this product again.

Right off the bat, i want to thank Burt's Bees for creating one of the precious few product lines of its kind that is plastic-free (no parabens and silicone). It's so hard to find a beauty product that won't hurt you in the long run. Which is why i was so excited to learn that Burt's Bees has a line of acne fighting products. This lotion moisterizes my face gently with as little chemical irritatants as possible (my main complaint with other brands). Unfortunately, it hasn't cleared up my acne very well. It helps but not completely. I suspect it might be clogging my pores. It has less salicylic acid than other brands so i think that's the main problem. I also wish it included sunscreen.

I use this after toner.
i have some pimples and my skin is so much sensitive. but this good!
there is no more oils and troubles on my skin.
and i think my skin is getting smoother everyday.

in summer, i'm gonna use only this! other cream or essence is not needed!

I was really excited to try this product and it actually seems to be working well but I don't like how it feels. It's quite greasy and heavy feeling, which I don't like. Surprisingly, though, the greasiness hasn't caused any breakouts for me, and my skin seems to have improved, so overall I'm ok with this product, but I wish it was a bit lighter. It has a funny smell too, kind of smells like tempera paint (the kind kids use).
