It has a really pleasant orange peel + mild soap smell. But it doesn't feel like a cleanser - not gel, not cream, doesn't foam, and it has a thick texture like honey! It left greasy feel after rinse, even on my hands, and I had to use my regular cleanser after this.

If you like Burt's Bees products, you'll probably like this cleanser. It's gentle, non drying, and cleanses well. I use this to clean sunblock and makeup with no problems. It leaves some moisture on the skin so for some users it may feel not thorough. I gave it three stars because like all BB's products, it's overpriced for what it is. The biggest complaint is the stale smell. It's not a fresh citrus scent, but more of an old jar of marmalade sitting around kind of smell. It almost smells like a product that went bad.

I purchased this face wash hesitantly because I'm used to buying cleansers that strip the oils in order to get that squeaky clean feeling. I decided to try something different and I'm glad I did! Although it took a while to get used to the feeling of moisture on my skin, I love the texture it leaves ALL DAY LONG.

I usually do the warm water, lather clean but with this I went with a warm washcloth and rub in circles around my face and neck. I'm afraid to get it in my eyes so I use make-up remover (Yes to Carrots Makeup removing cleanser) just around the eyes. Feels great and refreshing!

I bought this a while back and first use said "Nope" ... then decided to give it another try, afterall 210 plus reviewers with 4 plus stars can't be wrong. They're right. It works. I apply a small amount to my dry face and massage, then a short rinse with luke warm water. I'll use this day and night for the rest of my life. I'm 50 plus and see someone 40 or younger. I'm not exaggerating. It smells terrific and I love the way I look after a cool rinse.

I have mixed feelings about this product. I can understand why people don't think it cleans very well. I just doesn't feel like soap as I'm used to 9more like petroluem jelly). My face does feel clean afterwards so I have to assume it's working. I am happy it is natural and that it leaves my skin feeling clean but not dried out. And it does smell great. It is, however, inconvenient to use since your face has to be dry in order for it to work effectively. If your face is wet it falls right off. I would prefer to have a product I can use in the shower instead of before or after.

The first time I used this product I was given a Burt's Bees Gift Pack which included a small tube of this stuff. I fell in love with it immediately! After using it my skin feels so smooth and it's orange aroma is not over powering and smells wonderful. It has sort of a "wake me up" effect related to the smell, really! After I am done using it I can still smell it on my skin for a bit afterwards.I live in a rural area so it is hard to find around here, usually I have had to buy it in the city - I was really glad to find it on this site. As I am making today's purchase it is on sale (I can NEVER find it on sale below the constant [$] I have always paid) - so I am ordering some even though I'm not quite ready for a new tube.Also I am very budget conscious and generally, before discovering this product, would only spend a few dollars on a facial cleanser - this product is well worth paying the 3 or so dollars more than I would have "pre-Burt's Bees". TRY IT!

Oh my, this is one my favorite cleansers! It smells wonderful ~ it's the best citrus scent I have ever smelled. I use this with a wash cloth and it doesn't lather, so you need to use a bit more product than normal. I've been going through a tube a month. But, I don't care because I look forward to using this refreshing product every morning. I have one tube at the master sink and another in my shower. Also, I use the Burt's Bees citrus scrub, so it's a winning combination. I will buy this again...

I am a big Burt's Bees fan, but do not like this product. It leave a greasy residue on the skin after cleansing. After not using the product all the way up, it looked like it was getting moldy around the container opening (granted, I used it sparingly, since I didn't really like it). The scent was nice, and I like the fact that it's made of natural ingredients, but this product is not for me.

I use this as a daily cleanser. A little goes a long way and it rinses off quite easily. Strong sweet orange smell and sweet flavor, if you happen to have it on your lips.
