I had somewhat felt that way before, but just needed his sensitive nose to confirm. It would be such a great product if the scent would be a little less overwhelming (or even it were unscented, which would be wonderful.) I spend too much time around people who are highly sensitive to strong scents to be able to use this product. If I lived alone, I might be able to get used to it though. Too bad. I'm also very sensitive to scent and I like lotion that smells good. I'm surprised that the scent actually doesn't bother me at all, it may bother some people, lol. It smells like wood, wet wood?, herbal kinda smell. The only downside is the cost of this hand cream. I bought it on sales, probably won't buy it again as this is almost as expensive as facial cream and it's not that much (3.20 oz) Pros

This product for me however, is a miracle because it provides continuous moisturization that lasts through contact with water. If you've got rough dry skin this will feel good to you. Pros Cons

I used it once and could not stand the smell. It is a very bad, very strong smell that lingers. I had to wash my hands afterwards to get the smell off defeating the point of the lotion. :-( Pros

They can get so bad, sometimes I get small cracks in the skin on the back of my hands. I just use some of this at night before bed and by morning my hands feel fabulous! This is the best lotion I've ever used and makes my hands feel wonderful! I do wish for a better smell but don't let that stop you. It wears off when it's rubbed in and the lotion is well with this slight inconvenience. The smell is organic/vegetable/fruit smell. It's odd but it's not cow dung either. Pros

Comments about Burt's Bees Shea Butter Hand Repair Cream, 3.2 oz: This hand-cream has an extremely strong scent, BUT it vanishes soon and if you are a bit patient—which I am not but did learn to be!—the greasiness of the cream will also vanish, leaving your hands soft and moisturized. My hands are extremely dry and even washing them with mild soap dries them. This is so far the best hand-cream I have found. Highly recommend. |
