Though the color may seem deep red, it comes off as a nice strawberry-like color on your lips. There's no taste and smells like bananas to me for some reason. It works as well as sheer lipstick, but doesn't dry your lips out and lasts for hours! I would recommend to anyone who wants a little color without compromising their lip health/texture! Comments about Burt's Bees Tinted Lip Balm, Rose, .15 oz: I love Burt's Bees chapstick so when I found out they had a tinted balm, I knew I had to try it out. With most tinted balms, the color doesn't really show through, but that is not the case with this stuff. I bought the Rose tint, and love it. It adds that hint of color without looking unnatural and over the top. The only downside is that after a little bit you'll need to re-apply since it dissapates after wearing it.
