i LOVE this product. i have fine hair that became thin from the constant use of various extensions. my whole life, my hair was always shiny, healthy and complimented, yet SO greasy that i had to wash it every day to avoid oily roots. this is VERY damaging for your hair! i eventually ended up bleaching my whole head several times while going thru hairschool, so bad that it would not grow and when it did it broke off at the ends (like cotton almost)! so i learned about dry shampoo and was able to wash it only once or twice a week! now that my hair has been healthy for the last year or 2 FINALLY, i am having to wash it every couple days due to extra oil production from viviscal hair vitamins! they work-- but make hair oily. i have tried SOOOO many volumizing shampoos and i thought i'd found my fav in fekkai, but its so pricy and i wanted an all natural shampoo that WORKED. when i saw that this shampoo had a new formula, i tried it again and WOW! makes my hair sooo soft and gives it lovely body. it lathers intensely and leaves my hair so clean feeling without that "dry" or fried look/feel of other volume shampoos. idk how they did it, but i wanted others to know my story. its great!

I have been using organic and natural shampoos since my mid teens. When I ran out of both my Andalou and John Masters bottles, I was worried I wouldn't be able to find anything remotely natural where I live (in a country where organic has yet to catch on). I went out to try and look because a week is too long for me to go without washing while waiting for an online order. Initially, I was so relieved to find this product, but after buying this, I went to Burt's Bees website to check out the reviews. They were mixed. As a kid, my mom always bought Pantene for us, and while I would never go and buy it now, I would not hesitate to use it over this. After using this Burt's Bees shampoo for a few days, I knew I didn't like it, my hair was dry and poofy (not the kind of volume I was looking for). I had never in my life had a problem with breakage, but after using this stuff for a week that changed. I stopped using it right away. The ingredients aren't even all that natural, there's some synthetic stuff in there as well.

Comments about Burt's Bees Very Volumizing Shampoo, with Pomegranate, 10 fl oz:

My hair is wavy and fine -- I wear it quite short. Since it went a nice shade of gray I've stopped frosting it. Previous volumizing shampoos made it stand up on end! so I wasn't expecting much when I tried Burt's Bees, my fourth selection. My hair behaves as it did when I was young and I don't need to use the dreaded hair spray except when it gets long. A godsend!! Just bought another bottle.

Comments about Burt's Bees Very Volumizing Shampoo, with Pomegranate, 10 fl oz:

This shampoo creates oily hair for me, so much so that I have to alter my shampoos once in a while to clean it up. This shampoo also doesn't lather well, so I feel like I have to keep adding more shampoo into my hair to keep it clean. I have tried other sulfate-free shampoos that I believe are better than this.

Comments about Burt's Bees Very Volumizing Shampoo, with Pomegranate, 10 fl oz:

I must add my two cents, as if appears there are reviewers who don't know what they are buying. This is a sulfate-free product that doesn't smell like medicine, doesn't have to be mixed with anything and does the job without drying the hair. But the consumer has to know that getting rid of the sulfate means the shampoo won't lather as well as normal SLS products, as that is the primary sudsing agent. Ever watch a WEN infomercial? Some people simply prefer to use a more natural shampoo, but there are many of us who have to use the sulfate-free to protect our scalps. This is a great find, as it also does wonders for our hair. Hope this makes it easier to make a decision about your purchase. Hair gets just as clean without the lather, but you have to get used to it.

Comments about Burt's Bees Very Volumizing Shampoo, with Pomegranate, 10 fl oz:

This shampoo dried my hair out and made it look greasy. Additionally, to overcompensate for drying my hair out my scalp produced oil which also made my hair look greasy. My hair type needs to be well-moisturized because it tends towards the dry side anyway, but this product stripped my hair even more. I only used it two times a week, but if I used it more my hair would have been even more brittle. I had my boyfriend, who does not have dry hair, try it and he has had similar results. I wanted to try the product, but was disappointed, and learned a lesson of not buying shampoos/conditioners with alcohol as an ingredient.

Comments about Burt's Bees Very Volumizing Shampoo, with Pomegranate, 10 fl oz:

Burt's Bees had another volumizing shampoo that worked very well, but phased it out in favor of this one without SLS. About the same time, I developed psoriasis on my scalp, and started buying the therapeutic shampoos recommended. So much time and money wasted for so much frustration. I gave up and thought I was going back to my regular shampoo. Bought Burt's Bees Volumizing and my head finally started healing - without sacrificing how my hair smelled, felt and behaved! I called the company to find out why and found that many people become sensitive to the sudsing agent SLS that they removed. Still volumizes, still cleanses well, still smells fine, but now I don't have an itchy scalp, and all signs of the rash and flaking are gone. Not medicinal - just a more natural product that doesn't harm your hair or scalp.

This shampoo works great. It is sulfate-free, so it's not SUPPOSED to lather well, which is actually a good thing. Sulfates are what mostly make shampoos lather in the first place. It's something to get used to and you do have to work it into the hair a little differently. But you get the hang of it quickly. It volumizes GREAT - leaves the hair light and able to get the lift you want. I personally don't care for the scent, but that's just me - I don't like pomegranates! Combined with the conditioner, I think I found the perfect pair!

I have always had very fine hair. As I grow older, it's thinning a little so I need volume. I've tried a lot, but this shampoo is great. It has a light, nice fragrance and really gives my hair the volume I've been looking for. I also use the conditioner.
