Chemical Name: BUSPIRONE (byoo-SPYE-rone)
Buspirone Hcl 7.5mg is an antianxiety agent used to treat anxiety. It may also be used to treat other conditions as determined by your doctor.
Some medicines or medical conditions may interact with Buspirone Hcl 7.5mg. INFORM YOUR DOCTOR OR PHARMACIST of all prescription and over-the-counter medicine that you are taking. DO NOT TAKE BUSPIRONE HCL 7.5mg if you are taking furazolidone, sodium oxybate (GHB), a monoamine oxidase inhibitor (MAOI) (such as phenelzine), or if you have taken an MAOI within the past 14 days. ADDITIONAL MONITORING OF YOUR DOSE OR CONDITION may be needed if you are taking other medicines for anxiety or depression, azole antifungals (such as fluconazole, itraconazole, or ketoconazole), carbamazepine, dexamethasone, diltiazem, HIV protease inhibitors (such as ritonavir), macrolide or ketolide antibiotics (such as erythromycin, telithromycin), nefazodone, phenytoin, phenobarbital, rifampin, or verapamil. DO NOT START OR STOP any medicine without doctor or pharmacist approval. Inform your doctor of any other medical conditions including kidney or liver problems, or a history of suicidal thoughts or actions, allergies, pregnancy, or breast-feeding. USE OF BUSPIRONE HCL 7.5mg IS NOT RECOMMENDED if you have a history of severe liver or kidney disease. Contact your doctor or pharmacist if you have any questions or concerns about taking Buspirone Hcl 7.5mg.
Follow the directions for using Buspirone Hcl 7.5mg provided by your doctor. BUSPIRONE HCL 7.5mg MAY BE TAKEN on an empty stomach or with food. AVOID LARGE AMOUNTS OF GRAPEFRUIT or grapefruit juice while you are taking Buspirone Hcl 7.5mg. Talk with your doctor or pharmacist if you have questions about including grapefruit or grapefruit juce in your diet. STORE BUSPIRONE HCL 7.5mg at room temperature at 77 degrees F (25 degrees C), in a tightly-closed container, away from heat and light. Brief storage between 59 and 86 degrees F (15 and 30 degrees C) is permitted. IF YOU MISS A DOSE OF BUSPIRONE HCL 7.5mg, take it as soon as possible. If it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular dosing schedule. Do not take 2 doses at once.
SEVERAL DAYS TO WEEKS MAY PASS before Buspirone Hcl 7.5mg reaches its full effect. Continue taking Buspirone Hcl 7.5mg during this time. BUSPIRONE HCL 7.5mg MAY CAUSE dizziness. Do not drive, operate machinery, or do anything else that could be dangerous until you know how you react to Buspirone Hcl 7.5mg. BEFORE DRINKING ALCOHOL OR TAKING OTHER MEDICINES, check with your doctor or pharmacist. FOR WOMEN: IT IS UNKNOWN IF THIS DRUG IS EXCRETED in breast milk. DO NOT BREAST-FEED while taking Buspirone Hcl 7.5mg.
SIDE EFFECTS that may occur while taking Buspirone Hcl 7.5mg include blurred vision, dizziness, drowsiness, excitement, headache, lightheadedness, nervousness, or nausea. If they continue or are bothersome, check with your doctor. CHECK WITH YOUR DOCTOR AS SOON AS POSSIBLE if you experience unusual or uncontrolled muscle movements. CONTACT YOUR DOCTOR IMMEDIATELY if you experience chest pain; fainting; fever; irregular heartbeat; loss of coordination; memory problems; new or worsening mental, mood, or personality changes (such as anger, hostility, confusion, depression); seizures; suicidal thoughts or actions; unusual hoarseness; unusual restlessness; or vision changes. AN ALLERGIC REACTION TO BUSPIRONE HCL 7.5mg is unlikely, but seek immediate medical attention if it occurs. Symptoms of an allergic reaction include rash, itching, swelling, severe dizziness, or trouble breathing. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your doctor, nurse, or pharmacist. If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms of overdose may include nausea, vomiting, dizziness, drowsiness, and decreased pupil size.
DO NOT SHARE BUSPIRONE HCL 7.5mg with others for whom it was not prescribed. DO NOT USE BUSPIRONE HCL 7.5mg for other health conditions. KEEP BUSPIRONE HCL 7.5mg out of the reach of children. IF USING BUSPIRONE HCL 7.5mg FOR AN EXTENDED PERIOD OF TIME, obtain refills before your supply runs out.
