My 3-year-old is allergic to mosquitos, and living in Louisiana, there's never really an "off season" for mosquitos. Her school doesn't allow pump or aerosol spray bottles because they want to prevent any issues with other children in the class that might have asthma. These wipes are SO easy to use (especially on the face, which is generally the hardest place for me to apply anything), and definitely do the trick! The only drawback that some people might have is the strong scent. You can definitely smell the citronella & lemongrass scents, and it doesn't go away without soap and water. Overall, I think this is a great product - it's all natural, easy to use, and is inexpensive.
I have 3 small kids and I have no qualms using this on them, even with their eczema. The peppermint in it stings a little on the face for a brief time. I have always used it around the yard (live in south Louisiana) and have liked it well enough. Recently spent time at the fishing camp and we didn't get one bite after I applied this. Impressive! It does have a strong scent, but I find it pleasant, especially since I know it is all natural. My only con is that I have to keep a baggy around for the used wipes. But I generally have a trash bag anyway.
I hate to use DEET on my 4 year old sun, and I have found this DEET-FREE product to be very effective at keeping away ticks, mosquitoes, and other pests. It even smells pretty good (if you like the smell of citronella like I do). The wipes pull out easily from the pop up dispenser. 1 wipe will cover all exposed skin. Only drawback is that you need to reapply frequently-it says every 4 hours-I usually do every 2-3 hours.
For best results, apply to skin every 3.5 hours or more often as needed. For added protection, apply to clothes. For protection against ticks, reapply every 2 hours.
Use Restrictions: Do not apply to hands of children. Apply to children only with adult supervision. Avoid contact with eyes and lips.
Wipe Canister Instruction: To start feed, remove the lid and discard the inner seal. Find the raised center of the first wipe, and feed one inch of it through the hold in the canister lid. Replace the lid onto the canister. Dispense the remaining wipes by pulling them out at an angle. When not in use keep the center cap on the lid closed to prevent evaporation.
Storage: Do not contaminate water, food or feed by storage and disposal. Store in a cool, dark environment.
Container Disposal: If empty, do not reuse this container. Place in trash or offer for recycling if available.
