If there's a mosquito within 10 blocks, it will find me. Therefore, I rarely step outside in the summer months without bug spray on. I find this product works well at keeping the bugs away, although I get comments from people that I smell like a citronella candle.

I'm very sensitive, and allergic to Chigger and mosquito bites. This stuff keeps them away.

I used this product before spending 1/2 hour gardening in my yard at noon. It did not work at all! Not having read any of the reviews prior to use, I did not use a lot, and I was a bit lax in application (I was only going to be outside for 30 minutes). BUT, it should have worked better than it did! At one point I had at least 5 mosquitos on my leg ... again, this was not prime mosquito time. I was looking for Herbal Armor, but the store didn't have it, so I bought t his instead -- mistake! I'm sticking with Herbal Armor in the future. The only reason I gave this one star is the it *might* have worked better if I used half the bottle and then was sure that I didn't miss a spot. ... again, for 30 minutes of outdoor weeding, it seems like a lot of work.

Bought this for a trip to an ecologically sensitive jungle area. Fortunately, the mosquitoes weren't carrying any serious diseases because they feasted on me anyway. I probably received fewer bites than if I'd had no protection at all. But I cannot recommend this for areas where mosquito-borne disease is a problem. Probably best for use around the backyard.

It works very well, as long as you apply it very liberally. If you miss a small spot, the bugs will find it and bite you there! Best natural insect repellent I've used.

Definitely buying this again. I was on vacation in Washington State and was getting bitten a lot. Got this after a couple of days and the mosquitoes ignored me. It's less oily then other citronella repellents I've used and very effective.

Wish I could give it zero. This stuff stinks -- smells like pure citronella essential oil. More to the point, it doesn't work. The only thing it'll drive away is other people. Now I've used my own citronella blends with some success before, but this stuff is a waste of money. It also gave one of my kid's major contact dermatitis the next day. Skip it and buy the DEET if you live in skeeter country, especially with West Nile around.

Finally, a natural Bug Repellant that works! I've tried other DEET free stuff, but they were worthless. It is oily, but the smell is nice. And it kept no-see-ums away, as well as mosquitoes. We can picnic outside again! And no chemicals. I love this stuff.
